British Translation, help

I'm doing a proposal for a British firm and they ask for our turnover rate for the last three years. Now, I know that here, that pertains to employee retention, but they have pound signs in the answer box for this. HELP, please!!!

I know that in our company, turnover rate would be the number of employees who have left or been fired in the past 3 years...

I'm from the UK and turnover generally means the gross sales figure.
