Bride Does Ten Pushups Before Heading Down Aisle

HI Lori,

Thank you for the article, it was really interesting, I'm amazed that any female would do push-ups in their wedding dress. As for the bouquet with weights, that was an interesting touch and I bet it really showed off her biceps, though I'd hate to be holding that thing as long as a wedding takes. Well the wedding's I've been to, as the preacher talks for an hour or more and makes the bride and groom stand up there the whole time, and usually by the second hour, they finally get to say the vows. If that woman was in one of those wedding she's got some good biceps.

How silly some people are. When I got married I was gloriously rounded and 6 months pregnant. For once in my life I had curves!! I wasn't at all interested in bicep definition and could not have dropped and given 10 for all the tea in China!

Oh well, to each their idiosyncrasy.

Come now! I'm quite sure the bride had time to crank out a set of pushups BEFORE she put the dress on!!! I mean, how long does it take to do 10 pushups?! That was a little extreme. You can do those in the bathroom with the door closed, after all.
Just Do It! :)

Interesting article. You would think theses women would be worried about new roles and making there hubby to be happy on their wedding night. I know I could have cared less. I was so happy to actually marry my sweetie. The weights in the flours a bit much. How self focused is that. Every one is looking at you any way.

Okay...the weights in the bouquet are a bit much, but I do the push-up thing a lot. Particularly if I'm going out and I'm wearing something sleeveless. I usually end up doing it on the way out - it makes DH laugh.

I like the way I look after that little "pump". Some women wear mascara, some women do push-ups...

>I hope she didn't hurt anybody when she threw the bouquet.

LOL!
And I bet she really whipped it at somebody, to show how strong she was.

Now maybe THIS is a case of exercise obsession!

A friend of mine from my wedding message boards did push-ups right before her ceremony too! :D

Oh, and there was no need to put weights in my bouquet. There were 100 roses and it was heavy enough! :7

If I'm not mistaken, I read somewhere tha Julia Roberts did upper body that afternoon before the Academy Awards (I forget which year)so that she would look pumped that big night.

Sarah,

LOL! You would say that!!!}( I can see you now!!!
Well I wouldn't do the pushups because I hate them! LOL! I do like to weigh my purse down alot and carry it half way up my arm when I am out and about hoping it would do the same thing. Heck, I work hard for what little muscle I have so there ain't nothing wrong with showing it off!!!! Self focus or not!

How long does the "pumped" look last. If you do a set of push ups before running out the door, how long will the effects of that last?

Thinking I might need to do that frequently!:p

I'm not sure about doing drop pushups in a wedding dressing, but I do like the way my upper body looks after a good thorough upper body workout. Can't say that I blame her.
