Bragg's

Has anyone replaced their soy sauce with this? It tastes just like it, with LOW sodium and is an amino acid supplement...Just curious!

Thanks!

Yes, I use it all the time. You really don't need very much either. I like the taste. It sure is good sprinkled over a plate of rice avacados and tomatoes. Yum! It's good for you too, as compared to soy sauce.

It's funny, actually...After I bought it the other day, I emptied out the soy sauce in the fridge, washed out the bottle and filled it back up with Bragg's...Well, afterbeing that sneaky already gave me the courage to take it a step further and make stir fry...Nobody noticed!! Now do you suppose DH would have touched this stuff had I told him?? Heck no!!

Thanks!
MJ

Hey MJ. Yeah, I use this too. I love it. I can't tell the difference between it and soy sauce either, and like you, neither can DH! :) I also use it on seasoning potatoes, it is pretty good on them as well!

I use it all the time too...ever since I found it for a Vegan recipe I was trying...:)...good stuff...Carole

I use it, too.
It tastes like grocery-store soy sauce. (But not like authentic Tamari).
I get it in the spray bottle, and spray it on popcorn, then sprinkle on some nutritional yeast.

Ok, sorry if this is a dumb question, but can this be used as a marinade? I don't use much soy sauce except to marinade with, so would this work? Also, can you use while your cooking? I usually add a little soy while I'm stir frying, but I don't add any to my food after it's cooked. Does that make sense?

I'm really interested in trying this. Thanks everyone!

:) Nicole

You can get it at health food stores, or in natural food stores/sections of your grocery store. It comes in a dark colored bottled with a bright yellow label and is called Bragg's Liquid Aminos or something like that. You can marinate with it for sure (it's a little more expensive than regular soy sauce, but I don't know how much you usually put in your marinade so it may not make a difference) and yes, you can cook with it, stir-fry, put it in soups, salsas, salad dressings, whatever. It is pretty good, even if the label is kind of kooky. The lady in the big hat on the back?:)
