BOSU workout

Cathlete
i would love to see cathe do a BOSU workout. i can use any of her high step workouts on the bosu, so it could be a workout that uses the bosu or the high step but more geared to just cardio. as of now, i just do all the cardio segments of the high step workouts when i want a good BOSU cardio workout.

also, i bet cathe could do a kick arse ab routine on the BOSU!!!

I'd love a cardio and core BOSU workout! I also use the BOSU for all the high step cardio segments and a few other Cathe step workouts. I love to use the BOSU when I'm lifting or doing push ups for that added balance challenge too! It would be great to have a Cathe BOSU workout!

That would be nice....but I don't want to spend $99 on half of a ball! They never, ever go on sale either !@@@$#! x(

Beavs,

I know what you mean -- it seems like just another overpriced fitness gimmick, and I had no interest in it for a long while, but truly, the Bosu is, IMO, the most underrated piece of equipment out there. For balance and core training, it is even more versatile than the standard stability ball. NOTHING gets your core like this thing does. Really!

i completely agree with cathy!!! beavs, believe me. when i do step on it, i work much harder than with the regular step. by the way, target has it on sale right now. they are giving a $10 gift certificate with purchase. *enabling*

The rehab places just love it for their clients. Even our Cathe used one to help her acheive her goals throughout her rehab. That's got to tell you something.

I use it for pushups, cardio, balance, core, turn it over and there is yet other ways to use it. You can even use weights standing on the bosu and get an unbelievable workout. This is not just another gimmick. This will benefit your body in more ways than one. To me it's worth the money, and used almost everyday.

i totally agree!!! i was VERY skeptical about getting one thinking that with the stability ball, the step, and the high step, i would never use it. like you, i use it almost every day.

I would LOVE to see this, but I would love to see a hard core Circuit workout! Squats on the BOSU with a 20 pound dumbbell - try it. Lunges, especially forward onto or backwards off of a BOSU are killer. And try doing standing upper body work while on the BOSU - OUCH!

Maybe two - a great cardio and a great circuit... :p

I ABSOLUTELY AGREE!!! i love that piece of equipment so much and there are hardly any dvds out there! you KNOW cathe's would be the best!!!

I would absoluted love a BOSU workout DVD. I just got a BOSU for my birthday, but I never considered using it instead of a step. Duh...I guess I'll try it!

Great ideas Christine!

Amen to the idea of Cathe doing a BOSU workout. I love BOSU. Target did have them at 99.99 with a $25 gift card - I got mine there with a $20 gift card. You can also try craigslist. Anyway, here is another vote for a Cathe BOSU DVD. And to those of you on the fence about a BOSU, if you have any sort of joint problems, these can really help with that, in addition to adding a new dimension to your workout by using your stabilizers and enhancing your muscles in a new way.

I always like to add my vote for a Cathe Bosu workout when anyone brings it up! There's a definite lack of (advanced) workouts specifically created for the Bosu. I'll be one of the first in line to buy when there's a new one! :)

Yes yes yes! I LOVE my BOSU, but I found when I first started doing Cathe routines that it was too hard for me to do the high impact stuff on the BOSU - the added bounce to it ended up with me being a bit off the timing of it all (I was too slow). I tried rhythmic step for the first time (and this was my first cathe dvd) on my BOSU and got really frustrated.

But when I did Low Max on it, it was great!

I would love both cardio and strength training using a BOSU. I have said on other threads posted that I would like the suggested dvd, but this is the one I would most be interested in. Please, please, please, Cathe, do some dvds using the BOSU!!

ITA!!! I use it all the time, even if it's just to jump on when I'm watching a movie. I use it a ton at the gym with my clients for cardio, plyos, and weights. It's crazy how versitable piece of equipment available. It's only because of the BOSU that I'm almost 36 weeks preggo and can still do more core than most of my clients (not being arrogant -- please no flaming--just pointing out how great is the BOSU). My baby agrees--just gave me a ^5. ;)
