Bosu and protein bar question

I did a bosu w/out today and it was fun and different. Has anyone done any of Cathe's w/outs on a bosu and if so which would be good to try?

My 2nd question, has anyone tried the Power Crunch bars? I saw an ad in Shape magazine for them and found them at Vitacost and it got some good reviews but just wanting to check around here.
 
I did LowMax once on the Bosu. Never, ever, ever again. My hips, knees, shins, and ankles hurt for days! Not in a good, hard workout way. Hurt in a bad way. I almost went to the Dr. I got my Bosu for free, and I think I've used it maybe twice. Good thing I didn't pay for it. And I really, really thought I needed one! Everything felt ok during the workout, but after notsomuch. It may be better to stick to workouts specifically designed for the Bosu.

Maybe someone who had a better experience can chime in as well.

The only Cathe DVD that I would use the BOSU with is Basic Step. It has the simplest choreography and easiest intensity-wise. Other than that one, I would use workouts designed for the BOSU. I love my BOSU but I've found that I need to be careful when using any DVDS not designed for it.
 
I love my BOSU too - I have used Basic Step too. I think maybe Low Impact Step or one of those other easy ones work well too. The names of the DVDs escape me though. Amy Bento has a workout as does one of the CIA DVDs, plus BOSU has their own. You can also use it for some good balance work, lunges, squats, etc. Oxygen and I think M&F Hers has some workouts that they use the BOSU in occasionally.
 
I definitely would stick with Bosu-specific workouts, or simple step workouts (like Kathy Smith or the Firm) for doing Bosu.

I completely agree. After reading about people here on the board who do Cathe workouts on the BOSU I decided to try one and it was a disaster. I thought I was really going to hurt myself. I have a few workouts designed for the BOSU and really enjoy them, and get a very good workout with them.
