Boots for developed calves???

Hi Ladies!

I am having the hardest time finding a pair of stylish boots to fit over my calves. I'm pretty petite, 5'2", size 4 in clothes and size 6 shoe. My calves are pretty developed and I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if they found a brand that fit?? I would really love to get some boots!!!

I have that problem too, but I find now that most of the knee high boots have stretch in the calf and that makes it easier.

Well I can't say I have that problem, but I wish I did. My hubby could beat someone up with just his calves...they are enormous!!!!!

I tried on what seemed like 1000 pairs of boots before I found some that I liked. I'm pretty picky.:)

I have had large calves since I was in high school and I am also 5'2".

I also have a hard time buying boots but it isn't very cold where I live! Good luck.....just wanted to let you know you aren't alone. In HS I thought I was a freak because all my friends could wear boots and I couldn't.

Melissa...thank YOU for making me feel better. It seems like EVERYONE else can wear boots but me..haha. I was thinking of going to Lane Bryants for them.

Shelley...Thanks...I feel better to know that you did have to try on a lot of styles too.

Charlotte...it is nice to have developed calves when wearing heels or sneakers...but I BET you look AWESOME in boots and everything else as well!!! I just know you do!!:) And by the way, what brand of boot does your DH wear?? haha;-)

I have the same exact problem! I have found ONE pair that fits!!! I found them last fall and had been searching for a couple of years! I bought them in Kohl's and they said right on the box "extra wide shaft". I couldn't believe it! They are nothing special but they are nice enough...plain black leather with a small heel...I was just so friggen happy to finally find a pair that I could get my leg into!!!! :7
 
Also, Ann Taylor and J Crew make extended shaft boots. Ann Taylors are less expensive and higher quality (in my opinion).
 
It is very annoying! I have the same problem. Try widewidths.com. I got some boots there and put some orthodics in. Fit nicely!
