Bootcamp!!!

Hey all! I am amazed at those of you who do not find Bootcamp challenging! I do love the premixes on this DVD, but still find myself so aerobically challenged when doing BC as is. I use the heaviest weights that I can lift for all the weight work. I just finished BC today and I felt very strong and completed all the reps with good form. I still find it so challenging aerobically and get so much more winded than when I'm doing either Imax. Could this be because in the Imax workouts my heart gets used to staying in the aerobic/anaerobic zone without such extremes as in BC when you jump from cardio to legs to arms to abs?

Blah, blah, blah...anyway I really love BC and am very challenged by the workout as is. Anybody else feel challenged by BC as is or is it just me?
Have a great weekend everyone!

I love bootcamp and the premixes too. I usually do the "everything but core" or "cardio/lower body" premix followed by the "core only" premix. My goal is to complete the terminator and ice breaker sections without pausing to catch my breath. Very challenging - especially if I'm doing the "cardio only" premix. Great DVD!

I just got my dvd thurs I also had it on vhs but I wanted the premixes.I love doing the cardio only over and over for 20 min.It sure makes it easier this way.The only bad thing is now I am eyeing the other dvd's in this series just for the premixes.I really hate the pyrimid tape which is odd because when I first got it I loved it.Now it seems to boring and it moves to fast from one exercise to the next for me to consider it a strengh workout. It seems like more endurance because you keep going and don't stop except to change wts.But yet you go heavy, but I still consider it endurance. However the up and down would appeal to me I believe. And then there is Imax the "BLAST" which I believe I would love paired with bc cardio. So beware the premixes will get ya:)

BC is one of the most challenging workouts IMO (Circuit Max, BodyMax and IMAX are also up there). I don't have the DVD option, but I do use the video as is, and I'm totally winded. I also use the heaviest weights possible, but the circuit aspect of one minute cardio, one minute lower, one minute upper, abs, etc. is just exhausting to me and it REALLY burns the fat.

When I was doing this a couple of times a week several months ago, I lost the extra fat and then some even eating whatever I wanted. I find it very hard, but it's just so fun. :+

I love Bootcamp - I find it super challenging and there's never any time to get bored because you are always changing what you are doing. I also find it easier to manage mentally because when I get tired for anything, I just tell myself I have to only hang on for a minute and then it will be finished (never mind there are 30 more things coming - hehe), so it makes it easier to push harder.

I did this last weekend and it TOTALLY zonked me. I was a little surprised at how much. Ever have a workout like that where you work super hard and then you are just completely exhausted for the rest of the day? It wasn't really healthy to be that wiped out - I guess I overdid it a bit.

But I don't know why more people don't love this workout. I think its my fav of the whole series. I love that song that plays during the sumu thingys
