Bootcamp for August , Did it work for you?

Did you guys get good results as far as breaking your plateaus with this workout? I'm about to start it and I just wanted to know because I really need to bust through some plateaus.

It worked wonders for me. It increased my endurance and my core strength. I seem to have more energy during my workouts. I can push myself harder and longer.
I can now perform core exercises that were beyond me before. In particular the plank position with straight arms where your tummy is towards the ceiling and then you lift one leg off the ground. Before if I tried it I'd be in the plank and trying to lift a leg but it wasn't going anywhere. Now I can lift that leg three feet hold the position and then do the other side. I have a four year old and six year old and the extra energy this rotation gave me was greatly needed.
Enjoy the rotation...warning you may want to have naps after you finish some of the workouts! It takes a while for your body to adjust.

Gee thanks, for the information. I'm wondering did anyone break through any weight plateaus along with the workout plateaus?

I agree with Alhambra. I've been doing some add-ons to my current work outs now because when I finish it doesn't seem enough. I find this mainly with cardio. I have increased my weights on some exercises too. Just a slight increase. My legs have gotten more definition. I didn't lose any weight, but my pants are so loose right now. So, I was wondering if I gained muscle weight? Does that make sense?

I'll second that!

It sounds like you may have gained muscle and lost bodyfat, which sounds great! That's what I'm going for and I'll definitely take those naps into consideration. Thanks again.

I wholeheartedly agree that I kicked up my endurence big time with this rotation. Bootcamp no longer whoops my butt like it used to. I did loose several pounds by focusing on not eating more to compensate for the more intense workouts. I had hit a plateau in weight loss, so I kept my calorie deficit the same. It worked. And I'm still losing, so it's okay to go back to a less intense rotation after you're done. But I do ramp it up more often than I used to.

So, that's my story. Focus on not eating more even though you're doing more if you've hit a plateau.

Thank you so much, that's just what I needed to hear. So even though I'll probably feel like I need more, don't eat more. Thanks.
