The eight cardio cycles in Bootcamp contain no step segments. They primarily consist of high impact, high intensity kickbox and athletic moves like airborne jacks, squat thrust climbers (aka "terminators"), ice breakers, sumo squats, etc. The only step needed is a high step for leg presses and you could substitute a sturdy stool, such as a Rubbermaid, if you don't own a high step.
