Body for LIFE with Cathe videos?

I've read the Body for LIFE book and the results seem great. I think I have read posts where people have done BFL using videos instead of the exercises specified by Bill Phillips. Personally, I don't think I could do without Cathe videos for 12 whole weeks. I was wondering if anyone here has done the BFL program using Cathe videos instead of Bill's exercises, and if so, what videos/rotation did you use, and how did it turn out? If the BFL program is not adaptable to videos, I was wondering if I could have decent results by simply following the BFL eating program and doing videos. Thanks for any advice.

Greetings!

I haven't posted in quite a while, but I come here often to do my daily lurking. Anyway, your post compelled me to respond.

I had my second child 4 months ago (gained 40lbs) and in order to lose the pregnancy weight, I decided to do a combination of BFL and Cathe. In the first two hectic months of taking care of my newborn and my first born (who is 2 years old) I just did the best that I could every day and lost all but those final stubborn 10 pounds.

In the beginning of January, with my return to work pending and my pre-pregnancy suits hanging in my closet, I got serious! I started following the BFL diet to the letter, (except I only allow myself one cheat "meal" as opposed to an entire cheat "day") and started pushing myself even harder in my Cathe workouts.

With two young kids and a full time job, I can rarely follow an exact rotation, but I can say that I've used Cathe's Intensity and Body Blast Series premixes, Leaner Legs and CTX cardios the most. I've doing the Pyramid premixes a lot and I've really upped my weights. I also started running at the gym on my lunch break a few days per week using the "high point" training pricipals of BFL.

Bottom line after all this rambling? Following the BFL diet, using Cathe's workouts...focusing on really intense cardio and heavy weights...has produced amazing results for me.

Yesterday I took both my boys to the doctor for their checkups and decided to hop on the scale myself and I was one pound below my pre-pregnancy weight. I'm in all my suits, even the really tiny ones and I feel incredible.

I can honestly say that I feel so lucky to have found both BFL and Cathe. This is fast becoming my way of life and not a quick fix. Yes, it requires discipline and hard work, but I know I will be able to stick with this indefinitely. I'm never hungry and I'm never at a loss for motivation when it comes to working out with Cathe. She is such an inspiration.

Good luck with your own goals. You can do it.

RE: Greetings!

Hi,

Thanks so much for your encouraging post (and congratulations on the birth of your son!). Your results with BFL and Cathe have certainly been impressive. This is just what I wanted to hear. I also have two children, I work part-time, and my husband is out of town quite often on business, so it is likewise difficult for me to follow a strict rotation. I love Cathe's videos, and I have lately been alternating her weights and cardio videos from day to day. I enjoy eating simple, easy-to-prepare foods, and don't feel that I'd do well with measuring my food or counting calories or points as required by some diet plans. So, a combination of the BFL eating plan and Cathe's videos also seems like the best option for me.
