Body For Life....ANYBODY wanna join me???

Hello ladies!!!

I'm excited for this! I've been skimming through the book again as well as well as checking out websites and looking at the amazing results this program has provided. Thank goodness I'm not starting until Monday...I naturally have a pretty good diet, but this weekend I have THREE get togethers and a ladies night out for a friend getting married next month. So, this is my last hurrah for quite some time.

Some of you were mentioning the free day, what I did last time worked pretty well. Here it is: On a weekend day I often meet up with my mother and we go shopping and grab a quick bite to eat. Also, once a week, my fiancee and I like to go to dinner, that is my free dinner. Breakfast is always healthy for me. Anyways, it winds up working out to 2 meals a week rather than 3 and I make sure they are not on the same day. This way, I don't feel like garbage on my free day from going crazy all day, because there is never a full, all out "free day". Another bonus is that 2 out of 7 days in a week I get a little treat rather than 1. It worked really well for me and I felt like I was getting more, yet it wasn't because it was still less that a full day of free eating. Just an idea that may work for others who like treats. Also, my biggest food challenge will be work. I am a teacher so my meal schedule is good, but a co-worker loves sweets so I will have to be careful around her.

So, other than checking in with workouts and eating for the day, should we give some sort of physical measurements so we can keep updates with the actual physical progress? We could do measurements, height, weight, etc. It doesn't matter to me but I will be taking my own progress report so I just thought it might keep us on the ball if we had to be accountable to others as well as ourselves by posting them maybe every 4 weeks on the board. Let me know either way. Have a great weekend!!!

Hello Ladies,

I think it is a great idea about taking our measurements and posting them the first of the month. I think this is much better than just focusing on our weight, since you all know that sometimes we don't lose any pounds but we are toning up and the measurements don't lie. Fabulous IDEA!

I am so looking forward to seeing who posts first on October 1st with their measurements and about their workout for that day. This is exciting for me to be a part of. I am looking forward to my results in 12 weeks and I've been pictureing it in mind. How about y'all?

Rise and Shine!

Hey Veronika!

We are on the next page. Check out the updated daily BFL check-in.
;-) This check-in or challenge will be updated daily and is the best way for all of us to keep in touch.

Sincerely,
Heidi

Hey Ladies!
I see you have lots of people who have joined but if you think you have room for one more I would LOVE to do this with you all.

I have been fiddling around with new rotations for weeks! Starting and stopping and trying to decide what my new goals are. I've done it so often lately - - making new rotations with new fitness goals that I have confused and overwhelmed myself right into a total SLUMPx( .

It all started because I had my neigbor take pictures of me for another fitness thread I'm on and when I saw the pictures I was truly disappointed in my lack of definition!!! I feel so much stronger and more fit than I look. So, ever since then I've been doubting my workout regimen.

Truth is though, I don't usually get all my workouts in every week, and that could certainly contribute!

I don't have the Pyramid set. I am going to order it right now. But til it gets here I will use CTX upper body and one of the several leg workouts that I have.

Jennifer, somewhere in here you mentioned Atkins and gall bladder attacks! I have that same problem with south beach, and actually for me it's salad. It's one of my WORST triggers. Have you had any luck isolating triggers?

Is anybody else nervous about not using a lot of your videos during this rotation. Like seeing them sitting on the shelf may induce feelings of guilt or boredom???? :+ Crazy, huh???;(

Allright, I'm ready to start tomorrow. Probably better run to the store for a few more BFL food options!

Oh, this should be fun!

Oh, could we each post our currents stats and our goals???? That way we all know who each other is and what we are working towards?

I'm going to put mine in a separate post so it doesn't get lost.

Kerry

Hi Kerry! Welcome! I understand exactly how you feel about confusing yourself into a slump. That's exactly how I got to where I am with twelve pounds to lose. I searched so hard for the routine that would "work" and tried a million different solutions, that I ended up not being consistent, getting very discouraged, and gaining weight. So I'm VERY excited to be a part of this group now.

I never pinpointed any triggers that caused me the gall bladder pain while I was doing Atkins, I think it was just the overall increase in fat intake. I've been eating BFL style now for a week though, and I feel fantastic, so I have no doubt that Atkins is just not the diet for me. I think you're going to like this way of eating better than South Beach.

What other videos do you have? CTX will be great while your waiting for the Pyramids. I'm starting with the Slow and Heavy series before I go to the Pyramids. Been using them for three weeks now and I'm seeing some nice changes. I don't want to be the source of any financial distress, but I highly recommend the series, while you're buying. ;) ;) But don't feel guilty about not using all your other videos because 1) it's only 12 weeks, and 2) I'm pretty sure we're all planning on mixing things up with different workouts if boredom sets in.

Glad you're joining us,

Jennifer

Hi all!:)

I am seriously considering trying this until I get the new dvds. I have a treadmill for the HIIT. I was also thinking of doing the Imax premix with the intervals only for a 3rd day of HIIT. And I have the Pyramids (which I love).

Do you think this is worth it to just do for just 3 or so weeks?

TIA~
Deanie
