Body Blast Series

Hello, Everyone!

I have a question for you all. I am looking at the Body Blast series and wondering if I should purchase it. I am looking for some more intense w/o's to add to my collection.

I have the Timesaver, CTX, Hardcores, IS, PowerHour, S&H, HSTA. I want some intense w/o's, and don't want to go backwards. Is BB less intense than the ones I have already. If so, can you suggest some that are more intense that I don't have.

Thanks,
Carla

Hi Carla,

IMO, yes, the BB Series is not as intense as the IS or many of Cathe's earlier workouts which you don't have. Mind you, there are a zillion premixes on these dvds which allow for increased intensity (particularly the KPC/LG dvd). Step Blast starts of deceptively mild, then really hikes it up by the end. KPC is more intense than KickMax. SuperSets and Push Pull are, in their original format, considered her less intense weight workouts, but the premixes really allow you to make these workouts quite hard. The genius of the BB series lies in their premixes (unlike no other series Cathe has put out), and in their fun factor. I really do have a "blast" when I do any of these workouts.

If you're looking for pure intensity, then you might want to consider the Rhythmic Step+ dvd. I understand it's on backorder, though. It contains three pure cardio workouts: RS, IMAX (the very first one), and Maximum Intensity Cardio. Other great intense workouts are BodyMax, Circuit Max, and Step Works.

Hope this helps,
Sandra

Thanks, Sandra!

That helps tremendously! I was thinking about RS, but did see it is on backorder. I think I will wait on this one.

kpc is intense and I love step jump and pump(it's a heart pounder) but really you can make any workout as intense as you want she just gives you a format to follow it's up to you to add the intensity.I personally love all the bb and use the premix's often.

Step Blast and KPC are the jewels in the BB crown. No collection is complete without them. They are both intense and would easily fit in with the level of the I series.
