Recently, my daughter went veggie and I bought her Morning Star Farms brakfast links but they were a bit dry and tasted like fake meat. I then bought her Boca Burger links instead and I loved them. I was reading the ingredients yesterday and they contain coconut palm oil, a highly saturated fat, which is fine but they also contain partially hydrogenated oil. This bummed me out so much since I have a real trans fats aversion and I never dreamed I'd find in in a Boca product!
They contain 4 grams of fat, 2 of which is sat fat, so it's probably ony 1 to 2 grams of trans fat and I read labels religiously to avoid the stuff, so please tell me I am being foolsih to eliminate them based on a tiny consumption of trans fats. In a healthy diet, a small amount of icky stuff is fine, right?
