BM2 Cardio Blast Premix

I did this premix this morning, and added on the ab section. It was an intense workout, and today, very challenging. I am tired or something, so I wasn't working at the intensity I would prefer. I even had to lower my step to 6" during the power circuits. I hate to admit that! The one issue I had with this premix is I find the transition title things, where it says what is coming next, and then the 5 second pause with black screen, very annoying. I would prefer to just have the black screen pause, as I felt having both the transition title and the black screen where everything pauses for a few seconds, lowered my heart rate and got me out of the focus I had. Did anyone else notice this and feel the same way?

When previewing some of the premixes, I thought that there were unnecessary title cards between some cardio segements (especially if they just stated that we'll be using the same equipment as in the previous section). I would also prefer a 'fade-out'/'fade-in' transition in these cases.

I just did this premix, with the abs also, this a.m. No, the pauses didn't bother me at all, honestly, I was thankful for them!!! I found this to be a very challenging cardio workout. And, btw, I love the new power skate move, have to say it's my favorite cardio step move now.:)

I love the workout and the premixes, but I too could have done without the stops with the instruction. I would love to see a fade out format. It reminded me of the old Firm part tapes where the "guest instructor" would have a little chat with you before you started the next segment. I am a fast forward freak when things aren't happening. But I must say, the premixes have become my favorite workouts.

I really enjoy the insert cards for premixes such as the all weights premix of Drill Max (let's me know what's coming next) - but I agree - some the insert cards in the cardio only premixes, to me, are unnecessary.

That said, this is my favorite Cathe series of all time and I use the premixes (and love them) much more than the already stellar as-produced versions of the workouts!!!

If I remember correctly, there was a lot of complaints about the lack of insert cards for Hardcore Extreme which may be the reason why they put in more on the new batch of DVD's. I haven't done any of the BM2 premixes yet, but I have done 1 Cardio Fusion premix and the insert cards were very useful (where you lower your step) and I've done a couple of the premixes from Butts and Guts. The insert cards where you don't have to change equipment give me a chance to take a gulp of water or I just side step or something.

I did scrambled eggs this morning, basically the same as the Cardio Blast (I think) without the weight work. I really appreciate the insert cards. I just hope they hurry and send the new replacements. I get so mad when I go to preview one of the premixes and then the Dam thing skips or take me back to the beginning ARGHHHHHHHHH Just me .02 cents

There were complaints re the lack of insert cards in the Hardcore premixes. I do really appreciate and like the insert cards for the circuit and all weight premixes, they just seem kind of unnecessary for the all cardio premixes. That said, I'm sure SNM was trying to be thorough and I completely admire all the effort they put into this series. (And I don't mind the insert cards as I simply do jumping jacks or, in most cases, run to get a sip of water!)

I'm glad I am not the only one who was slightly bothered by the "title cards" (now I know what those are called, too!). I still love the workout, and did appreciate the "water breaks," but I still feel a simple "fade out, fade back in" would've worked better for the cardio only premixes.

I'm doing the BM2 Cardio Blast Premix tomorrow. I think I will **try** doing power scissors and/or plyo jacks during the 'insert cards.' I bet my appreciation for the breaks the insert cards afford will be elevated immensely, come time for the cool down!!
