Bikini or One Piece

I think I'm gonna go with one piece. One that covers me from my neck right to my ankles, like they used to wear back in the early 1900's.

I wear a conservative 2-piece, but definitely not a bikini. I wear a tankini, and usually have to buy the bottom one size bigger than the top...gotta love the hips. LOL I look best with this type suit on.

Bikini...actually I really like the bikini top with the board short bottom look. It's sporty in a "Blue Crush" kind of way.

My bottom is also a size or two bigger than my top.

Probably a one piece. I don't really go anywhere that a bathing suit is necessary. We have one of those blow-up pools for the backyard. My daughter has told me that she wants to go to the beach this year. That's a Lake Erie beach, and the last time I went - it smelled like dead fish. Bleah! I'll probably try one of the nicer Lake Erie beaches this time, and if we end up actually having a real summer this year...we might go a few times. Since there will be people around, I'll probably want a nicer bathing suit than what I'd wear for our little blow up pool in the backyard.

I dunno...does it seem silly for a 38 year old to be wearing a bikini? I do really like those boy-cut bottoms.

Bah! I wear a bikini and I'm 41!!! I say go for it. I bet you'll look fantastic!

Last year, when we went to Cuba, I went to Bikini Village and bought a brand new, beautiful black bikini. It cost me $70. Third day we were there, the clasp on the top broke, exposing me to the entire pool bar area. Ain't that grand? So I went to the little store on the resort and paid $12 for a new blue and white bikini that my SO said looked much better on me anyway.

I know, I know...I've never been much of an "exhibitionist", though. I've always been a one piece wearer. Mostly out of shyness when I was younger. Plus I never really felt I had the body for a bikini. And...back then you couldn't mix and match the tops and bottoms. I'm a 3 bottom and a 34C top.

Now I've got the body for it, but I still think I might feel naked. Kind of funny that I've got a better body at 38 than I did at 22!

I think I will do a tankini. With my belly and stretch marks, a bikini is not too appealing.

I have a question about boy shorts. Do you find it makes your bottom area look smaller? I feel that it emphasizes the hip/bum area. I think a brief that's cut a little high on the leg is more flattering, but maybe I should try on some more boy shorts.

Shelley- that is hysterical! LOL:+ :+ :+ :+ :+
That happen to me once to, but I caught it just in time. WHEW! Now when I buy a bikini, I inspect it to great lengths and hubby does too. LOL (he is very worried I am going to flash someone)

I have a habit of losing my clothes. *blush* A couple of years ago I was at a big party with about 2000 people in Toronto, dancing recklessly on stage, wearing a zip front workout type top, when lo and behold, the zip broke! The strange thing is, I don't think anybody saw. I was so quick in grabbing it and turning around that nobody noticed.

Of course, after the bikini incident last year, a friend of mine said "what IS it with you and losing your clothes?":p

Shelley- I seem to lose my bottoms under water alot like when you come off the slide. No one ever sees that unless someone is swimming under water with eyes open. LOL
