Bikini Countdown - Easter Weekend Edition

Good afternoon everyone-

I'm assuming there aren't alot of us around this weekend since noone has posted yet. We just got back from and egg roll which was really nice but I'm wiped out now. We're going out tonight so I'm wondering if I should just take a nap... the decadence!

I just did stretching yesterday and may just do abs/stretching today.
If today is light (and yesterday was, too) I'll start the workout week tomorrow. I'm going to be working on the heavy weights again but incorporate the HIIT- I'm going to go to a track and do sprints or run hills. I'll post my official week tomorrow...

Lisa, I feel the same way- as soon as I have one mess cleaned up there is another to take care of. Don't sweat the small stuff- that's what I'm trying to learn although its hard!! The constant vacuuming and piles of clean laundry lying around make me so insane.
BTW, enjoy having your family back.

Sabine- hope you're feeling better. Allergies are the worst... have a nice quiet w-end.

I probably won't check in again today- if not hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!

HI Everyone,
Its been pretty quiet around here all day.I have checked the site off and on between doing other things.
I hear ya on the house work. MY opinion is if everyone picked up after themselves there wouldn't be near as much work for one person to do.That one person being me! I feel like a Tornado as hit my house.I finally got my bedroom and living room situated today.I am dreading the laundry room b/c that is where we store everything.I haven't got a clue what to do with all of the winter clothing. Its to big to fit into rubbermaid containers, like our summer clothes.
I just got back from a run.The wind was pretty high at times but I think my dog pulled me through it:) I knew I took him for a reason.Today was a lighter run.We only did 10 kms. But I feel good.I have dinner in the oven and I think I am going to fastforward S,J&P and I am going to do the ab section.
Happy Easter everyone..
Lori:)

Its me again. It is really queit around here isn't it? I would be gone somewhere to if DH wasn't sick:-( But I am sort of glad we didn't go anywhere b/c my eating would have taken a major turn for the worst. It always does when we go on a road trip.
Not much planned for today.Everything is closed.I don't know if I will go outside for a run or do BC.I have to do PUB though, which I will be doing shortly.
Thats it for me, everyone have a good day and try not to eat to much choc. They found all of their easter eggs and the chances of them sharing with me, are slim!

A quick hello from my parent's house. Gotta go check on the stuff in the oven...for some reason I have become the offical menu planner but everyone pitches in. Visiting our old church was great...always lovely to see long-time friends and meet new people. Everyone should be arriving soon...gotta cook and that's my workout for the day!

God bless you all

Hello All;
Well I completed the entire week one for Cathe's April rotation. I really enjoy the S&H series I have no idea why I was so fearfull of it as I've had that dvd since last summer and just now started to use it. I like not having that DOMS when I go really heavy. I was even able to use my bar at 50 pounds while doing squats and static lunges. I've always limited myself to just 40 pounds and upped my weight today on it. I think I can even go up to 60 pounds, I'll see next time I do Legs and shoulders again.
This amazes me as just about a year and a half ago I couldn't even do it with a 25 pound bar, but I was also 30 pounds heavy too :)back then. Those before and after pictures really helped me see how far I have come.
Well I plan on continuing the rotation this week so I plan on doing Step Works tommorrow and that is another older vhs tape that I have owned that is still 'virgin' to me.
Hope all had a good day, kids got tons of easter candy here.

Happy Easter!

Shywolf, congratulations on how far you've come, with your weight loss and your strength! That's fantastic!

CinDee, I'm glad you've had a good trip; it is nice to go home.

I've worked out pretty hard this weekend. I did Janice Saffell's Brand New Butt and More yesterday. It has several exercise like in Legs&Glutes (the only one I can think of now is the one legged deadlifts--for some reason I could do them yesterday, whereas I couldn't before. Maybe it was the lighter weights I was using). That tape is 60 minutes, then I did a 15 ab section from a Method dvd, and another 10 minutes of Pilates. My rear and my obliques were very sore. Today, I did KPC for the first time in about two months--I finally felt up to it. It was great! I didn't think I was up for the abs though, so I did a different, easier, stability ball ab workout, then about 5 or 10 minutes of Pilates, and then decided that I could do the KPC abs, and made it through it all, even the pikes. Yea! I've kind of been doing the Freestyle thing with abs, and I do think it's making a difference.

The boys got home fine yesterday, and seemed to miss me, even though they had fun while they were gone. They had a good Easter today. I'm very glad that they're home!

Joy, I don't know if you'll see this or not. On Friday evening, I did the Quickie workout from Power Yoga for Happiness. I felt so good afterwards, and even felt loose when I woke up Saturday morning. I love it! Eoin Finn is funny though. He keeps describing how good the poses are supposed to feel, and for one, he says it's like having ice cream licked off your body. Too funny!

Oh well, I don't know if anyone will see this or not, but hello to everyone, and enjoy your evening!
