Good Morning!!!

It's going to be such a nice day here today (mid 70's). I am so ready for warmer weather. I didn't go to step class last night (TTOM) and figured I just needed to rest my body. I might try to go to the Body Bar class tonight (big maybe :) ). I went to the bar class on Tuesday and I used an 18lb and 15lb bar this time. So I'm slowly increasing my weight.

Isn't it true that you are suppossed to start with the shoulders, chest,back (the larger muscles) when weight training? Because if you start with the triceps or biceps they will be week and you won't be able to do as much of the larger muscles? If this is true I wish I could somehow tell one of the teachers to start like that. She always starts with biceps and I always get worn out before doing the larger muscles.

My eating has been OK but since it's TTOM and I haven't eaten everything in sight I'd say I'm doing pretty good. Anyway, hello's to everyone and have a great day!

Hey everyone!

I was up late last night, putting the last, final touches on the taxes, and paying my mid month bills. I didn't workout again this morning, but I am absolutely doing something tonight before dinner. It will probably be short; I was thinking either a short cardio (maybe from Timesaver, or just part of RS), but if the energy's not there I may just do Pilates or yoga. Actually, if I do PUB up only and skip the abs, that's right at 30 minutes. That's a possibility also. I have to get a good night's sleep tonight though. It's driving me nuts that I haven't worked out since Monday.

Kim, I have a Bosu Body Bar dvd that I'm anxious to try. If I don't do upper body tonight, I might try that tomorrow. Also, usually weight work is done starting with the larger muscle groups, but I saw something on the Ask Cathe forum that in at least one of the new workouts, she starts upper body with triceps. I guess it doesn't hurt to mix it up, but if your goal is to increase your strength in the larger muscle groups, then it's probably best to work them first.

Joy, which yoga workouts are you finding to be especially tough? I don't know if you saw one of my posts from over the weekend--I did the Eoin Finn quickie workout on the happiness dvd. I liked it a lot.

I hope everyone's doing well. It's sunny here today. Still chilly and windy, but it's supposed to be in the upper 70s by Sunday.

I did the Finn PY4H - Free Strong and Happy - or whatever the title is - the 53" one on the second dvd. Man those abs - and some of those really wild ones - !!

I wish I could remember the names of all the poses - the one that got my thighs was the side bend (go from warrior 1 into a triangle like bend over a bent front thigh!)

I did break out the Yoga Mind & Body last weekend. I really love to hear Erich Schiffman's voice. I'd love to get some of his other stuff, but alot of it is only on VHS, and I really don't want any more vhs...Plus I need to slow down on the spending.

Do you have Candlelight Yoga? If yes, what do you think of it. I enjoy Sara Ivanhoe and I keep hoping I'll run in to this dvd at best buys (I think I already did and didn't know about it so I passed...:-( )

Sorry to be so - not a good checker inner - I'm having a hard time with myself right now. (too too much whining)

Hiya Ladies;
It was cooollldd here yesterday but it seems that it's getting warmer today.

I'm in a lazy type of mood today ...still in my bathrobe YIKES! LOL
Need to get my butt moving and onto today's S&H back and chest.

Yesterday was IMAX 1 very nice ...somehow I honestly did not find it as challenging as IMAX2 . Weird.

Yes Sabine I followed this month's week 1 rotation as outlined by Cathe LOL I sure did do IMAX 2 twice that week LOL.
I'm approaching TOM next week so I'm dealing with the heavy boobage feeling this week and some ugh feelings of pms. Oh well.

Sorry I did not post yesterday or at least I don't think I did, had to go out yesterday and do some running around. The hubby is taking some online classes now so I'm not online as much as I would like.

Ok I'm outta here so I can do something ...ack! but my robe feels so nice and comfy . Well let me go workout now. I can't wait for our normal routine to start again when the kids go back to school on Monday. I need to plan something fierce to prevent this mode during summer break OY VEY!

I think that the quickie workout in PY4H (I like that abbreviation!) has that same warrior 1 into triangle thing. It was tough, but it felt good. The quickie didn't have abs, but I did Baron Baptiste Live Core Power that same day (I like it also), and got my abs then. I do have Candlelight Yoga. It's very good. It's good for late evening, but it's a little long for the time I usually have then (I think it says it's 30 minutes, but it's actually more like 40), so I've only done it a few times. She does have a very relaxing demeanor, and likes to remind you just to do what you can, which is always good to hear.

Don't feel bad about checking in, but also remember that part of why we're doing this is to support each other. If something's bothering you, it might help to talk about it.
 
70 degrees sounds great...it was that way up here on Sunday, but lately it's been classic Pacific Northwest: cloudy, rainy, cold.

Yesterday I did the SS premix (2 rounds without abs) and I strained my right shoulder. I hope that resloves by Saturday so I can hit the upper body again. Today I'm gonna do intervals on the treadmill at the Y. Not my favorite workout, but it's going to be my only chance for a workout.

It's almost afternoon here and work is boring. I'm at the school today and the morning was taken up by assemblies. Now a bunch of the kids I work with are on a field trip so I'm twiddling my thumbs. And to think I could have slept in late!

Today was Slow and Heavy Legs and Shoulders. Boy, I'll feel this one tomorrow. I tacked on Power Hour abs just for some extra ab work. Felt really good.

Tomorrow is Slow and Heavy Chest and Back with abs and then I'm off for the weekend. The weather is turning cold and nasty for the weekend, just in time for my trip out of town and the start of Spring Break. Hopefully things will clear up next week for some good sunshine to relax in.

This school computer is starting to do wierd things so I'm saying goodbye before my post gets eaten!
