Good Morning all,

I wound up taking yesterday off and it was the best decision! I went shopping after work and found the cutest little dress at Old Navy for $29.50 and a great pair of Nike shorts from Ross for $9.00! When I was home, I had some dinner, popped in a movie, and went to bed early and got a lot of sleep. I feel so rested today!

I picked up back with week 2 of the tank top arms/beach butt rotation and did PS Legs and Abs. Did all the leg work (with the exception of dead lifts where I went 5# lighter) with a 40# barbell. Boy, did I feel the work! It felt really good, in a weird masochistic sort of way. Tomorrow is supposed to be Cardio Kicks but I just got my new Christi Taylor DVD's (Humble Beginnings, Fantastic Four, and Solid Gold Cardio) and am feeling the need to do one of these. We'll see how I'm feeling tomorrow!

Don't know who will be around this weekend. Look forward to hearing from you!

Hi Everyone,
Pretty quite around here today.Although this is my first time popping in.Surprise.I would have normally been here about 20 times already:)
I worked all day and I was busy.I didn't get home for my lunch either.I only had 30 min so I went to subway and had a sub.
We are going to a party tonight and I am debating if I want to workout! The party starts around 8 ish but either I need to workout now,and eat dinner later,or vice versa.I can't make up my mind.! If I do workout it will probably be BC with running OR the rest of Imax and running.I should focus on cardio though.I did weights 3 times this week already.I am not sore from PUB yesterday! Im happy about that.It seems like I have been limping around all week. Oh so fragile!
We had friends over last night and we had choc fondue:9 I didn't eat to much though.Alright for my two friends b/c they are both pregnat.Atleast they have someone to share it with.
Anyway,I should go and decide if I am working out or not.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
Oh....its snowing here again!;(

Hi all;

Well I found my IMAX 2 dvd so that's what I did this morning. Showered and went out for a nice lunch with the hubby since we didn't get to go out last night. He's got an early Saturday class he's taking for the next 6 weeks.

Tommorrow will be a rest day for me and I'll be busy taking care of 'normal' household stuff, as it is right now I'm doing a second load of laundry.

Anyways I don't have anything else planned for the weekend.

My planned rotation this coming week will be week 3 of Cathe's December '03 rotation.

Sabine I wanted to ask you what results are you seeing with your rotation for this month? As I may end up doing that one for April.

Anyhow I hope all are enjoying the weekend.

Hello all!

I'm back from my trip, and I think I'm starting to finally get over my cough. Elizabeth, I know you asked about Michael yesterday. He's doing well today, but spent a day throwing up while I was gone! I didn't find out until that evening, and thought about coming home the next morning, instead of that afternoon, but he was better by the morning. He's in 4th grade. When I was in 3rd grade I was sick for a month (although I didn't have meningitis, nor did I have to go to the hospital). I know it's tough for him. I guess he's just not getting a chance to really build his immunity, which is why he's coming down with everything left and right. His little brother, Nicholas has been well, just a couple of colds. Knock on wood, let's hope it stays that way!

I did the Winsor Accelerated Body Sculpting today. I'm not sure what's up for tomorrow. I think I want to get over the cough a little more before starting cardio again (I think I'm really run down also). I can't believe that it's been three weeks since I did cardio, and on Monday, it will be four weeks since I did weights!

Sabine, I'm anxious to try my new Christi Taylor Humble Beginnings DVD also. Maybe next weekend! Let me know which one you try, and how you like it!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Hi everyone, finally made it so late on a Saturday night. For lunch we went out for dimsum. The food was so great I ate 'til I was stuffed. And because my body has been so used to the 40/30/30 ratio (or close to it), any great diversion from it makes me feel really yucky. Which is why I ended up sleeping for a couple of hours afterwards.

Tonight I did CTX Power Circuits -- warm-up, step and kickbox portions with the leg work, except that I modified the weighted parts. I did the wall squats with a stability ball between me and the wall, the way my PT friend taught me. I used a pair of 8's for those, then plie squats with the weights between my legs, S&H style, keeping the squat shallow as my friend suggested. I did the lunges without weights, also with my feet rotated outward about 25-30 degrees. Then I did the first two weighted exercises again instead of the ones that came after the first two kickbox portions. For the last one, I did calf raises with 12's.

I skipped the cool down for CTX Power Circuits and popped in C&W. Skipped the warm-up for that one and did the rest of the workout. As always, my step was low as were my moves, except for those I couldn't modify, like the plunge lunge and box lunges. Otherwise, I made sure to keep my knees happy. The whole thing took about an hour and a half, with rests and water breaks. I'm feeling good -- not as worked out as I used to, but still good. I'm still into my bad eating though, which needs work.:)

Good night, see you all tomorrow, I hope.

Good morning everyone. I didn't have a chance to check in either Fri, or Sat. due to being very busy. Friday evening we had some people come over to look at our house - we haven't even listed with a real estate agent, but somehow a friend of a neighbor is interested. We spent all day Friday hauling boxes and straightening the place up, so even though I didn't get a chance to workout, I definitely felt worked out!
Last night I did Legs and Glutes, which I haven't done in it's entirety yet (only the timesaver version) Mercy! That was one tough workout! I thought I was going to die on the one-legged dead lifts! Today I am doing Cardio Kicks, and then thankfully it's on to upper body week!

Shywolf, to answer your question (sort of) I am loving Sabine' s rotation. The plan of alternating intense upper body weeks with lower body is really working for me, both physically and mentally. By the end of the week I am feeling so fried that I look forward to the upcoming week to take a break and shift gears. It helps keep my focus strong. And I feel that is key for me - my eating has been good (not perfect, but good) and I feel like I am getting toned up. I have dropped 2 lbs. in the past two weeks, which isn't amazing, but I feel like those pounds are lost (as opposed to just being a temporary fluctuation.)
I am thinking that I am going to stick with this style of rotation for another month. There is enough flexability and variation that I could do this for a good long while.
Hope everyone has a happy Sunday!

Good morning everyone. I ended up taking yesterday off and Friday I only got half of Imax2 and half of SuperSets in, both were interrupted and I couldn't get back into the swing of things. I'm feeling like I need a good cardio today so I may do MIC and throw in Power Hour if I have time. My DH is working this w-end so he should be home in a little to watch over the kids.

I have to admit, Sabine I had a fight w/chocolate chip cookies last night and they won (many times over). Today is a new day but I'm feeling SO TIRED. I bought a pregnancy test yesterday that I'm holding on to just to make sure that's not why I'm so tired and cranky lately.

Pinky, how long does it take for this to get out of your system when you go back to your regular eating (have you noticed?)

Tracy, hope you sell! I've known many houses that end up selling by word of mouth which is always a nice surprise.

Shywolf, I really like Sabine's rotation, too. It's a nice combination of body parts and cardio. Unfortunately I've noticed that so much of my workouts & results depend greatly on my eating. I'm realizing that I have to be so careful otherwise I could workout forever and if I eat poorly it doesn't do any good.

Hope everyone is doing well and I'll probably see you all tomorrow.

Happy Sunday all...

Last night I had another bout with insomnia and wasn't able to sleep 'til 3 a.m. So instead of just lying there staring at the ceiling I popped in my Pilates for Every Body DVD that I'd gotten at Target weeks ago and watched the tips and cautions then proceeded to do the short beginner's workouts.

Lisa, I'm starting to understand why you love Pilates. It has the fluid and relaxing feel of yoga, which I like, and you get to really work out your core. I did about a good hour of beginner's workouts and didn't feel tired at all. Rather, I felt stretched out and limber. Went to sleep right after.:) I'm looking forward to doing the intermediate exercises during my "slow" days this coming week. I hope Michael's doing better these days.

Tracy, congratulations on those lost 2 pounds. Sabine's rotation is indeed very good, and I just wish I had better knees so I could follow it better. I hope you're also getting enough rest even though you're busy packing. Moving is awfully stressful.

Brenda, it usually takes me about a day of super clean eating to get the yuckiness that comes after falling off the wagon out of my system. It takes me another couple days of 100% clean eating to feel that "lightness" all over again. "Lightness" not from starving, but from being able to get over the grease, sugar and bad carbs. I had a good dinner last night and an equally healthy breakfast this morning, and I hope this kind of eating goes on for a long time. It IS, I admit, HARD to get away from the bad stuff once you've had it off and on even for a short period of time. I'm not so worried about the flab I've gained because it's not as much as what I had after the holidays, but I know that if I keep up the bad eating that came with this slump, I'll have all that flab back.

Today I'm kinda tired so I just might do some yoga. Or some Pilates. Or a combination of both.:)

Have fun y'all...

Happy Sunday everyone,

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend in their neck of the woods. I't s been beautiful weather in CA which means that my allergies are really kicking in. Just feeling pressure in the sinuses and my nose is running like crazy! I think I need to take a trip to the drug store and get myself some Claritin to get through this time of year. But I hate how I feel on Claritin, just sort of off. But I also hate feeling congested and itchy too.

Today I did decide to finish the lower body week with a good solid lower body butt kicking workout so I did Cardio Kicks. This was a new-to-me Cathe workout and I really liked it! It's a bit of a space hog (luckily, I have the room) and I love the more choreographed feel of it. Cathe's form is not the greatest (it's much better in KPC) and it didn't really bug me as I know it has other people. To each his own.

Shywolf- I have to say that I am seeing some good results with my rotation. My arms are getting more defined and I am feeling some good soreness in my legs, particularly my butt, from this week. I agree with Tracy that I get excited for the following week as the end of the week I'm on nears so I can shift the focus to a non-sore body area! I'm thinking of creating a rotation with 1 day/week of pilates/yoga/stretching workout included (although I always like to see what Cathe has in mind for a month) and may go back to this rotation for May (the month right before my Hawaii trip w/ my sister). It's not an easy rotation yet I feel there is enough variety to keep it interesting and not tortorous!

Tracy- I hope you house sells quickly and for full asking price! Packing and moving boxes and hauling stuff is most definitely a workout. Be sure you're bending with the knees and not the back.

Brenda- I hear you on the chocolate chip cookies. I honestly feel like I can't say no when I'm around them. Even if they're the really crappy, dry, crumbly kind I'll eat a bunch anyway. I'm also like you in that I do have to pay attention to what I eat or all the exercise and great rotations in the world will not show on my body. Oh, what I wouldn't give to be one of those people who can eat anything and it never shows in their physique. I HATE THEM (just teasing!). I figure if I can do well 70-80% of the time then some cookies or ice cream here and there will not be the death of me.

Pinky- Glad to see that you're able to get back into some impact cardio. How is the knee holding up?

Big hello to Lorihart and Lisa (will let you know about Humble Beginnings, but which workout to start with :p )and anyone I might have missed.

I Bikini Body weekend edition people!
Yesterday was timesaver #5 for me. Ilike the leg & glut exercises in that workout and it was done in 48" so I spent a good 12" stretching afterwards. It was day 6 of working out and I may do another time saver or circuit workout today. Tomorrow we leave for our trip so it will be a rest day,and I will just take a day by day approach and consider it a rest for my body.
Then a new rotation can be started :)
Have a good week and I'l check in after the 22nd!

HI Everyone,
I am not feeling to good today.:-( Self inflicted though.I think I may have drank to much. This is why I don't drink anymore.I think that last time I was hungover was in Oct.
I didn't go to bed until 4 and my little girl had me up at 8 and thats when it all kicked in.Its 4 here now and I just managed to eat something.I am feeling better but I have a headache.
I did fit in my workout yesterday evening.I did 3 intervals and a 30 min run.I may workout tonight after I start feeling better.
I had a good time last night though.I did lots of dancing and laughing. There were ALOT of people out. There was a volleyball tournament and a hockey tornament here this weekend.
Other then that....nothing new.I think I may go jump in the tub or have a nap!
Lori:)
