Good morning everyone~

OK, its the first of a new month - what should the new name be? I'm thinking "Bikini Countdown" since CinDee and I literally are crossing the days off the calendar. Any suggestions? (I liked the "Just do it!" idea- I usually have to tell myself that when I can't get off the couch)

Sabine, hope you've gotten your voice back and feel better!

My sister came into town yesterday so my workout included walking and shopping all day- not much time for anything else which is ok since my knee has been feeling a little sore. Today I'm doing PUB(or maybe Firm Upper Body w/Janet Brooks)and MIC floor work.

Hellos to everyone here- hope you all have a good day planned.

I also like the idea of "Just Do It!!" I think I should have been posting on the "one piece suit body" instead of bikini body. :)
I didn't post at all yesterday. I was actually BUSY at work. I went to my body bar class on tuesday and then step class last night. They started a new routine - and I was ready. They work on about 10 blocks for about 3 months which can get old after awhile. Tonight is my body bar class, friday will be just cardio on treadmill at the gym and then saturday the body bar class.
I have found the most yummy snack and is only 2 points (ww plan). I've been eating those Kudos bars. I'd heard of them before but always thought they were too high in points because of the chocolate. I was eating the WW just 2 pts bars that are chocolate flavor. But these are so much better tasting. Anyway, does anyone know how much sodium a person is suppossed to have in a day? Well, I've gotta go. It's already 10:30 here (closer to lunch :D ).
Everyone have a great day!!

Hey, everyone!

Today's raining and chilly. I had a tough time getting started this morning. The alarm went off at 5, and I laid on the couch until almost 5:30. Then I got up and did that David Kirsch Boot Camp that left me so sore last week (did I say more sore in my hamstrings and inner thighs than any video EVER!?!), and 10 minutes of Pilates. I felt great afterwards.

Brenda, I'm glad you like the Just do it idea, although I guess we'd have to get permission to use it, huh? We might have the Nike police coming after us! I like Bikini Countdown. I'd like to look good in a bikini, even if I'm just hanging around!

Kim, I've never tried the Kudos bars. They sound good. Regarding the sodium, I had a lean cuisine for lunch. It had 550 mg of sodium, which it says is 23% of the daily value, so that would be around 2000 mg per day (my PCs acting up and I can't get to excel to figure the exact amount).

Lori, belated congratulations on your new car!

Pinky, if you check in, I hope you and Andrew are having a great time.

Hellos to Joy, Elizabeth, Tracy, and anyone else I've missed.

Hi everyone,

'Bikini Countdown' sounds good to me. It's also nice because it continues to have 'bikini' in the title so those who don't check in every day can still find us.

Anyone going to do Cathe April rotation? I may do 2 weeks of it and then see what happens. I'm kind of wanting to do a week of CTX series and to maybe do a the first week of the Body Blast rotation from December or January. I'm feeling fickle lately.

Thanks for asking about my health, Brenda. I'm feeling okay, quite tired, very cold, and my sinuses are acting up. My voice is just about gone and I am waiting for my HMO to call me back with a Dr.s appt. This has happened before and the only way I'll get my voice back is to get some major decongestants/antihistamines for the sinuses and some cough syrup w/ codeine to soothe the irritation in my throat. UGH!

So I'm trying to take it easy. Did PM Yoga last night and tried to do a little hi/lo this morning just to get the blood pumping and to try to feel warmer.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

I took a look at Cathe's April rotation, but I'm gonna stick with the M&F Hers rotation (well, my version of it anyway!). Yesterday was PS CST with IMAX 2 and I am soooo sore. My legs are still feeling Mon. workout, too. Today I'm planning to do KPC, possibly the leg circuit premix, but we'll see how far the bod lets me go. I really want to keep up the commitment on this rotation, but I feel sore just sitting here typing! Movement always seems to help, so I just need to pep talk myself through the warm-up.

Bikini Countdown sound good to me, too, although today feels like a Just Do It day. I just got my new bikini this morning (I love it when I get my UPS packages!)...maybe I should hang it up on the wall as inspiration! 43 days!

Hello to everyone...hope your workout and day goes well!

CinDee

Hey, just checking in again, because I saw something regarding sodium to better answer Kim's question. I KNEW I shouldn't quote a nutrition label earlier, oh well. I just saw that the average woman only NEEDS 500 mg/day, but most of us get 3000-6000. I blew it just on lunch (the 500 that is). I saw that in Shape Magazine Fitness Jump Start Life Guide I picked up. It had an article in it that interested me, on changes to your diet that can flatten your abs, which is where I saw the bit about sodium. They say to
1) make sure you eat at least 25 g of fiber daily,
2)eat the right kind of carbs (fruits, veggies and whole grains--I'm not good on the whole grains),
3) consume no more than 2400 g of sodium a day,
4) drink at least eight 8-oz glasses of water a day and limit alcohol, caffeine and carbonated drinks (I got rid of my sodas, but I'm drinking green tea, which has caffeine),
5) Eat light at night: eat five meals throughout the day, eat 2/3 of your calories before dinner, and limit nighttime snacks to fruits, vegatables and other foods low in fat, calories and sodium, and
6) reduce stress.

Well, it sounds good at least!

Sabine, I hope you start to feel better. I really like that PM yoga tape. It's good that you're taking it easy. CinDee, I think I missed where you're going in 43 days. Whereever it is, lucky you!

I hope everyone has a good evening.

OK, Bikini Countdown it is (w/a "Just do it!" implied?)

I ended up doing MIC hi/lo only and S&H Biceps/Triceps. Thank you so much for those Sabine- I'm really going to be encorporating them in my workout for the next few weeks. I remember you said (during your oral surgery) that you really missed being able to weight train and the feeling it gave you. I think I'm starting to understand what you meant. Lifting slow and heavy to the point of exhaustion is a pretty intense and unusual feeling, but I'm liking it which I dreaded before.

CinDee, where did you get your bikini? I tried some on yesterday and really wasn't happy, but this time it was the bikini I didn't like as opposed to my body. Not to say I'm not looking forward to the "countdown" - I'm excited to see how my body reacts to a new routine.

Have a pleasant night everyone!

Brenda
