Hello eveyone!
Guess what, no pilates today! I did do the warmup and the first combo of Rhythmic Step. I love that workout! I haven't done it since around Thanksgiving, and was pleasantly surprised that I did pretty well with the choreography. I goofed a few times, but was able to keep right on. I love it! And, while I could tell there's a little something still in my chest, I think I managed pretty well. Then, I did Push Pull. I went lower on most of the weights. For instance, Cathe uses a 40 lb barbell, I used 30 lbs. I did push on the biceps, and used 12 lb dbs as she did, and did fine. I finished up with a little extra ab work: the side crunches on the ball from Supersets, and the bonus abs from TS#2 (I think), to see if I could still do pikes on the ball. I did them all except for the last four; I could tell I was tired, and just did the roll ins. All in all, I think I did well. That's only the second time I've done that workout. It's good.
Lori, I'm glad the slumber party went well. It sounds like you showed them a great time, and I think you handled the situation just fine with the one girl that would not behave.
Pinky, I hope you had a safe trip to Houston, and that you have a lot of fun there. Regarding your trip home, did you say you're leaving on the 29th? I know you're excited about that.
Sabine, thanks for the comments on 5004. I think that I will try the hi-lo tomorrow, and then do some pilates. I don't think I've said that I've met Christi Taylor. She used to teach in Bowie, MD. I met her last March, when she was there for an instructor training class, and then went to see her film the two Solid Gold workouts last year. It was very cool, but what a long day for her! Most of her crew only did one workout or the other, but she filmed everything in that one day. I'd love to see another filming of hers (or Cathe's!). Hey, did you notice that the set in 7002 is the same as Cathe's wedding video?
Anyway, time to get the kids ready for bed. Have a great weekend!
