Good MOrning Strangers!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess I am the one who is the stranger.I haven't been around much all week b/c I have been pretty busy.My sister-in-law got home on Tuesday night so I have been spending alot of time with her and her baby.Plus,I bought a new car,so there was alot of fuss'in with that and then there is always work.;( I haven't had much time to sit and type.
We leave to go away on Thursday afternoon so I want to get some heavy duty workouts in this week.Some long cardios and heavy weights.Then I won't feel to bad when I take 3 days off.If my eating is good then i shouldn't feel to guilty but who actually eats good when they are on the road:eek: Not this chicky poo.
And guess what I am doing all day today? I am babysitting.I am not nervous about it but it as been a while since I have taken care of a small child.Probably since my own was small.8 years now.I wonder how much they have changed? Needless to say,I won't get my workout done while she is around but I will be busy chasing her around.
Anyway,I will check back later.I probably won't get my workout in until later today.I think I am going to do IMAX2 ,a run and PUB.

Ack! Just posted a long response and my server went out so I'll be brief...

Lori, good luck babysitting! Get a few good workouts in and then enjoy yourself when you go away (do you get to take your new car?)

Sabine, yes I did StepBlast and PUB on Sat and had a really good day, then took yesterday off and ate everything in site. Pizza, chocolate, a hot dog, you name it. If it was in my site it was not safe which may be why our dog was hiding most of the day.

Elizabeth, thank you so much for the Kickboxing help- I may be trying too hard to add things to get my heart rate up and am sacrificing form... I'll try it again later this week.

CinDee, I think this is what my rotation will be this week going heavy on the weights:

Monday - Imax2/Lower Legs
Tuesday - PUB/FIRM abs or other ab workout
Wednesday - Power Hour or ME
Thursday - S&H back and biceps/ab workout
Friday - KPC/Leaner Legs
Saturday - MIC/Power Hour
Sunday - off

It seems like a lot when I look at it but I want to try, motify as I feel and on how much time I have. We have 7 training weeks left before the bikini! Clean eating, lots of water...

OK, lots to do this week-

Good Morning everyone,

I'm taking this week a bit slower than usual and doing a mostly Firm week. Today was Total Sculpt from the BSS 2 and it felt like nothing! I can't believe how short the sets are! Jen Carmen, the instructor, would say stuff like 'I know your biceps are burning, just one more rep!' and my bicep was just starting to notice. All the Cathe has really paid off since I once considered these workouts hard (oh, those were the days).

Lorihart- Congratulations on the new car. Didn't you last report that the new car was not going to happen? Anyway, glad to hear that plans changed and that you have a new toy! Have fun on your trip as well.

Brenda- WOW! You have an awesome week scheduled! Be sure to report back how you are feeling, what the results are, etc.

Hello everyone,
Well my body is going through a sugar crash because Saturday (after I'd worked out in step class) I decided to make cookies. Why? I don't know. I made oatmeal and peanut butter - no chocolate thinking I wouldn't eat as many since they weren't chocolate. Wrong, I ended up eating 8 on Saturday and then at least 4 or 5 yesterday. I packed up the rest and sent them to work with my husband. And I wonder why I have trouble losing this last 10 lbs.
I had trouble in step class. I ate a banana and a piece of whole wheat toast before I went (30 mins.) and about 25 mins into the class I got so weak and tired that I had a hard time concentrating. I don't know if it was because it was kind of hot in the room to begin with or if it was what I ate.
Tonight is Kickboxing. I guess I'm looking forward to it. x(

Hey all, just a quick check-in before we fly this afternoon.

Lori, have fun on your break. With all the working out you do, you deserve to take it easy for a while.:)

Brenda, your rotation looks tough. I envy the lower body weighted workouts you're putting in there. Hopefully I can do that again someday.

Sabine, I just want you to know that the rotation you inspired this month has been working nicely for me, even though I had to tweak it so much. Thank you for the idea of doing upper body one week and lower the next. I looked at myself in the mirror last night and liked what I saw. I've been alternating strength and endurance for a long time, and your rotation gave my body a little change, to which it responded nicely. Cleaning up my eating also helped. I'm going to shop for bathing suits back home, where the styles are more conservative.:7 Yup, I'm still hiding what I have. It's almost impossible to conquer a lifetime of conditioning.

Kim, have fun at the gym. And Lisa, maybe we can talk Lotte Berk when I come back.:)

Elizabeth, I guess I will sample some of my mom's lechon. The first bite will be for you.:)

Today was KPC for me. Didn't put everything in it as I wanted to do just a light cardio workout. I was huffing and puffing just the same.:)

I'll try to get in touch with you all from home. Thank you for all your well wishes and good vibes. I know I'll need it.

Hey everyone,

First, Pinky I've probably missed you since you already checked in. I'm glad you got to work out today. I hope you have an uneventful, safe flight, and that Andrew sleeps a lot. Is this his first flight?

I'm on a non-Cathe stint right now (except for the weekends, it seems). I did Janis Saffell's Hardcore Kickbox Circuit this morning. Not nearly as tough as KPC or Cathe's other kickbox workouts, but it was different and enjoyable, and I got some weight work in also. There were 16 single count pushups in the warm up. I'm happy to say that I did full pushups for all of them.

I hope everyone's well today. Elizabeth, thanks for the congratulations for Michael. Lori, good luck with babysitting. How old it the child? Every once in a while, I miss my kids being babies, stuff like the sweet way they made fists when they were so intent on nursing or having their bottles. I don't want any more, but at the same time I'm a little sad. Anyway, there's always new adventures when you have kids, new ways to realize you're doing a good job, as well as new ways to wonder if you're screwing it all up!

The only thing that comes to mind for a new name is "Body of Steel". I'm sure I'll get a few laughs on that. Or, how about, "The few, the proud, the Catheites". We can shorten it to "The few, the proud". Just a couple of thoughts.

Or, how about, "Let's do it!"
