BFL NOVEMBER already!!!!

You guys are very motivating. Missed my workout this morning cuz I was too lazy to get up extra early, had to leave work early for a vet appt. which just got cancelled. So I vow to put a video in and do my 20 minutes of cardio at least.

I will say for me, the first six months I did BFL, I was strictly by the book. Interval cardio, bfl lifting and really eating strict (except for the lovely free day) and I geto the most amazing results. I did get bored and switched things up. I still try to do interval workouts for cardio. I get much better results.

I'm going to see if I can do 12 weeks again fully BFL style and chart my progress. SIgh...the extra halloween candy around here isn't going to help that's for sure!

Heidi! I'm PSYCHED for you and your new workouts! Be sure to let us know what you think! I can't wait to do an iTread SOON! I was toying with the idea of using the Sprint set (I forget which one that is) for an HIIT session!

Colleen-I'm doing the BFL by the book, week 5 we're all in. I did BFL 7 years ago, just after my younger son was born and LOVED it! I didn't really chart my progress back then, but I know I did really well and got back into shape very quickly!

Now, having said that I'm doing BFL by the book, lol. I have Upper Body tomorrow! I am going to add on B&G floor work. I'm feeling like my lower body could use that second workout on the weeks when it's only scheduled once. I'm not going to add a second heavy weight work though, I'm thinking more like the floor work from B&G, PLB, L&G, etc. Just some toning exercises...figure it can't hurt! I'm changing NOTHING else!

I've brushed, flossed and rinsed. I'm ignoring the candy sitting in the dining room! lol Figure good-smelling breath will keep the candy nibbles at bay!

Good night!

I'll see you all in the AM!

Veronika, I had my realization the other night. I sat down and wrote out the workouts I'll be doing for November...not set in stone, but having it written down takes out the guess work. I've still got a little bit of work to do with my eating, but that is slowly coming along as well. I had a great moment today...I was really craving something sweet after lunch so I made myself a cup of cocoa chai (made w/sugar free hot cocoa) which was so yummy and totally satisfied my craving. Not too long ago I would have gotten a piece of candy or something.

Just keep in mind that a victory is a victory, no matter how small. It's little things that build up to the big results. Those little changes that we make add up to better habits that help us stick with the routines or eating habits that will get us the results we are looking for. So keep up the good work!

Tomorrow is LIC for me, so it should be a fun morning! I feel like I'm coming down with a cold or something. HOpefully I'll sleep well tonight so I can fight it off.

I hope you don't mind a little dump here...I've been rather sad today about one of our dogs. Hero (a lab/heeler mix) is almost 13 and we got him before we even got married. We had to put our other dog to sleep at the end of July because a mass burst on her spleen, requiring emergency surgery. But because she was 14 (we got her from my parents when they moved 1 1/2 years ago) and would not have handled the surgery well, we put her down. The beginning of September we got a new dog, Jackson (a feisty 2 year old australian shepherd/st. bernard mix). Since then Hero has been acting older and we just thought it was because we weren't used to having such a young dog in the house. But the past month he has really deteriorated. He's now limping when he walks (hip displacia?) and he is hardly eating. He still eats people food but barely eats his dogfood, and we even switched to canned for him so he would eat more. At first we thought maybe he wouldn't make it till Christmas but now I'm thinking he won't even make it till Thanksgiving. 2 years ago the day after thanksgiving our dog Hershey died from bone cancer that had spread. We got her just a few months before Hero. I can't imagine losing another dog at Thanksgiving time :-(

I hope you don't mind my sharing that with you, but it kind of makes me feel better to talk about it.

Jill, I am so sorry about Hero. We just lost our neighbors' cat Whiskers and it was so sad to watch him lose so much weight ,then stop eating and then go into convulsions.I never saw anything like that. Our children did not take it well. I just hated the feelings of being so out of control and helpless. So, I really mean it when I say I'm sorry that you are going through this. Don't worry about sharing things like this. I want to know.

All of you are so nice. Thank you for your positive words. BY the way, I did do my interval cardio, ABs,Pilates and stretched. I did it right before dinner and then right after the family ate. I really am going to get up early---LIKe Gayle and get it done tomorrow morning.
BY the way Gayle -what time do you go to sleep if you get up that early? I need to go to bed now if I am going to do what I said I would do.My husband is taking the children camping,at least two of them and I want to be done with my workout before they leave.

I will be back tomorrow girls.
