BFL - It's Monday! 1/28

Hi Ladies - This is my first time on the forum. Can anyone join in this group? You seem super-motivated!

I am getting back into Cathe after about 5 months of illness and bed rest. I did Cardio and Weights this AM (from the TV) and it felt AWESOME! Have a great day!

Hey Ladies~

Just coming back in to say hello!

Busy here at work, but I promise to catch up on personals in a bit.

Downingtown School District is going on Strike. The Teachers want more money, this has been going on for a year. There last meeting was this morning, and nothing was approved. Kids are scheduled to have no school tomorrow morning.

Michelle-

You just made my day. I'm so happy you noticed:p
I guess when our friends and family see us everyday,it's hard for them to notice small changes when we feel like they are huge changes.
Congrats on your 3 pounds:)

The funny/strange thing is that the only thing I have changed during the past 4 weeks is my eating habits. I have worked out 5-6 days a week w/Cathe for 3 years and haven't ever dropped any weight, not even a pound. Eating is crucial to get the results!!

Welcome Christinae:)

Belinda & Kathy- Thanks for the kind words

Hi to Sherry,Gayle,Jennifer,Heidi,Melissa,Susan and everyone else

Carolyn

Welcome Christinae! This is quite an upbeat and motivated group, as I'm sure you have noticed ;-) , nice to have you here!

Carolyn - congrats on your weight loss! I would LOVE to be able to say "as long as you notice, that's all that matters!", but it is nice when friends & family finally start noticing. My DH was pretty surprised on Sunday when I told him how much I'd lost so far and in such a short amount of time. Almost like he didn't believe me!!

And I totally agree with you about the food being key. I've been working out same as you, 5-6 days a week sometimes 7, for 3 years using Cathe and my weight never budged until I started eating the BFL way.

ETA -- I just checked out the BLOG. I think I have to pre-order STS. I'll kick myself if I don't... ! I just convinced DH that I NEEDED a weight bench, which I really do. Now I need to convince him that I NEED STS! Maybe I can justify it by saying "but look honey, I won't have to buy any more equiptment - she uses PAPER PLATES!!!". Think that'll work? :7

Just checking in quickly..suppose to be working.

WHAT.....PAPER PLATES??? What is this all about? I will have to check the Blog.

Kathy: As for running...I was training for a 1/2. We have many races around my town.Getting in the road mileage is easy for the neighborhood I live in except for when it is icy. I can't say they do a great job on clearing up after a storm....

Welcome Chistinae!

Michelle: I think he (DH that is) is back to normal....;-) Although bending down to pick something up the other day on that knee made him yelp. He forgot it was his bad knee....can't believe it....after all that he went through.

Haven't got to that workout yet. Later it will be....BBL Heidi
Hello to everyone and great job on your workouts today!
:7

Melissa-Sundays ARE for relaxing….AFTER you do all the prep work for the coming week! LOL GO ORDER STS right now. I wasn’t sure at first, but ordered the first day of the pre-sale. I support Cathe 110% so I knew that the products and her goals would fit with what I NEED too, so charge away, I did! LOL Paper plates? Now I have to go read the blog!

Michelle-“limp turkey”. Doesn’t sound all that enticing ! LOL

Christinae-you are more than welcome to join us! But watch out for these ladies….they’ll get you all fired up and you won’t know what to do with all the extra energy! Welcome aboard MOTIVATION STATION!

Jennifer-I hate when I hear about school strikes. The only (and MOST important) people who suffer during these strikes are the kids!

Carolyn-I agree…..you look FAAAAAAAAAAAABULOUS! And, I agree, the FOOD is the #1 biggest part of this entire process.

Belinda-SHUSH about the slanted risers....I convinced myself this past week that I DO NOT NEED THEM! lol

Gayle

MOTIVATION STATION....Love it!!

Gayle - you have to check out the paper plates! We LOL now, but probably won't be LOL'g while we are doing those, or the day after, or the day after that...

I pre-ordered STS. BIG SMILE..:7 !

Belinda - I agree with Gayle about the slanted risers...SHUSH!!;-) I'm going to try and hold out until my B-Day for those! I do not need them, but they look so cool!!

Here's my take on "the food" issue:

I've ALWAYS known it was about the food. I work out when I can - and when I need to drop the pounds I starve -- living on popcorn and yogurt. Soooo not healthy. But it has always worked for me and I was scared to try BFL. (I have done this with this stubborn 10-15 pounds for 10 years.)

This time, working out 6 days a week - and actually EATING 6 meals a day. I'm enjoying the food. The chocolate shakes, the new recipes, especially all the EFL recipes, enchilladas, spag and meatballs and dessert - you all know I love my pudding!!!

I used to beat myself up EVERY time I ate. Now I eat SIX meals a day and I love it because I know it is good for me. So, I'm actually full AND losing weight. Crazy! Never thought it could happen!

Michelle
P.S. Gayle - if you can't get the 6th meal in today -- I'll eat it for you! :)

Mellissa and Gayle I agree with both of you on the slanted risers..SHUCH! I am flying back to the US in a few month, to be with my kids! My DD is getting ready to move to San Antonio with her BF! We are not sure what we are doing with my son and the house! The market isn't looking great!

You guys have been busy posting while I was at class. I will have to go back and read this afteroon.
PLB done. Eating-excellent so far

Gayle-how long does it take you to do a typical bfg upper body workout? and lb workout? Just curious if it is about the same as the pyramids.

Hey guys.

Susan-BFL-style upper body shouldn't take more than PUB, I'd say about 50 minutes or so. Lower body...if you do it the way BFL says it, including abs, and 3 lower body pyramids, then about 45 minutes. But like Kathy, I add onto my lower body work but I still come in at about an hour or so!

I'm enjoying my roasted chicken, brown rice and steamed carrots.

Gayle
