I did BFL style UB! I also went up in weights! I am getting ready to do Total Body Stretching # 3!

THANK GOODNESS Danny boy is outta here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol I wanted to throw something at the TV after that trivia challenge game when he said, "I am not, officially, the SMARTEST person in this house"! OH!!!!! And I would have taken that chocolate cake and flushed it down the TOILET! BYE, BYE, boy Danny! LOL

OK, I just got done with today's workout, which was BFL Lower Body! YIKES! What a workout!

Headed to take a shower, then kids on the bus, then off to clean my friend's house, then work. So I'll be cramped for time this morning. I'll BBL after work to chat. The weather is supposed to be GORGEOUS, so I may hit the road for a short run after work! We'll see!

Gayle-Where do you keep all your recipes at? I know you like recipes as much as I do,lOL

ETA,Gayle-im sorry i know your a busy lady but I was wondering something? I put some brown rice(one cup,like 5servings) in that south western chicken soup recipe to make it different...do you think its still BFL friendly? I made 6servings out of the pot! And Im eating it as my lunch this entire week(so i have time to work off the carbs:)) What do you think? Is it ok?

Belinda-Did you happen to watch american idol last night? Im not sure what time it would come on in germany? It comes on at 8 pm here.

Today's goal:
Get in a really long run.

With my workouts the past two days I went up in my weights and boy am I feeling it today! So doing a long run will relax me hopefully.

Amelia-YES! I think adding the brown rice is just fine! It's definitely on the BFL food list, so you're good! How does it taste with the rice? I'm in the mood for homemade chicken veggetable/noodle soup, and promised myself that I'd make a large batch of it this weekend. Maybe I'll add rice instead of orzo?

As for my recipes. I've got a Word document. Actually, SEVERAL Word documents! LOL I have one document for EVERY SINGLE recipe that we fall in love with, that I KNOW I will want to make again. Even if it's in a recipe book, it goes on the PC (I find it easier to find things that way). Another document is for BFL recipes. Yes, these are duplicated in my BIG recipe doc, but when people ask for this or that BFL recipe, it's easier to attach THAT document than the BIG one! LOL THEN.........for those recipes that I MAKE ALL THE TIME! I print the recipe out on cardstock and cut it down to 4" x 6" and it goes in my recipe box on my counter for even EASIER finding! I LOVE RECIPES! LOL

Gayle - I'm with ya on Danny Boy. Glad he is gone. He is so cocky and with all his eating at the arena, I knew he would gain weight. Glad the girls were on top.

Belinda - Great job on UB. You go on those weights!!

Amelia - Enjoy your workout! I agree, standing in line in the tag office is no fun.

Gayle** I was waiting for you to post today! Awesome job on you LB workout today! Yesterday I watched the first episode of the Biggest Loser (I know we are a few weeks behind!). I finally know what you girls are taking about! I couldn’t believe how much they weight! Enjoy your run after work today!

Amelia** your kids are so cute! Love the new picture! Today is American Idol! They air it a day later here! I can’t wait to be back in the US to catch up on shows! TV (for the military!) is sucks! I mean it got a little better. We could get German TV, but they show mostly repeats. Hope you enjoyed your PUB workout!

Morning!
I ran 7 miles today (warm up mile/Runervals 10k Builder/cool down mile) + Core Premix from Cathe’s Bootcamp (again, lol!) I had a little “lead feet” feeling going on but managed to get through it somehow. I find this happens mid-week to me when my long runs on the weekends get really long. Not every run is a winner, that’s for sure.

WooHoo…..so long Danny Boy! He was just way over confident and it came back to bite him in the you know where! Bet he regretted all those bites of hot dog, pizza, and pretzels he had during the challenge, huh? And what’ with Roger making a big deal about him “becoming a man”….he acts like he was changing his diaper and wiping his nose when he came to the Biggest Loser. Man did you see Ali? Her upper body is looking awesome!

I'm telling ya, They got Dan a hooker when they were in Vegas. That was the second comment made about "Dan becoming a man". They won't show that part on the show.


I ended up doing GS chest and Triceps. I was feeling a little weak today and barely made it through all those push-ups.

I hope everyone is having a good day. I ended up doing 4DS Bootcamp last night. Fun, fun, fun. Honestly I wasn't having too much fun on the last one with the fast runs and pushups!

Tonight is either BFL UB or I might try 4DS UB. Either way, I'm going lighter on the chest exercises. In certain light, my chest looks really defined and I'm not sure how I feel about that yet so I don't want to add to it. Does that make sense?!

M#1: 2 applesauce oatmeal muffins w/ 1 T natural pb (not quite sure I'm digging these muffins. Not a big fan of nutmeg so I think I'll omit that the next time I make them)
M#2: salad w/1/2 can white tuna
M#3: 1 cup veggie chili
M#4: turkey wrap
M#5: grilled pork chop, 1/2 baked potato & steamed veggies
M#6: choc/banana protein shake

Biggest Loser! Yeah...I really wonder what they all mean by tousling his hair like I do to my Kindergatners! LOL You really THINK he got 'hooked up' in Vegas? And I too LOVE ALI! Her smile is so contagious!

Gayle - I think with some modifications, I'd like these muffins alot more. The only thing I don't like about them is the nutmeg. I should have made a 1/2 batch instead of a full 12. x( I'll try some modifications when these are gone. I'll post the recipe tonight when I get home.

Have you tried the Banana Applesauce Bread? I'm thinking about making those into muffins instead of a loaf the next time. I wouldn't be able to toast it though...hmmmm.

Yeah, I don't know what was up with the hair tousling. WEIRD! I'd like to think that he didn't get hooked up because that's CREEPY...among other things...like DISGUSTING.

Since you girls got me hooked on the Biggest Loser, how long does it take them to loose all that weight? The US is way ahead of Germany! I hate being so far behind! I don’t have a clue what you girls are talking about! LOL!

Hey Belinda! I think they’re on the Biggest Loser campus 4 months then they go home for a few months until the finale. Then they all come back even thinner than when they left!

Ali is just doing amazing! I couldn’t believe she lost so much weight again this week since she looks like she’s getting closer to her goal. LOL, yeah….that really would be creepy Melissa (ha,ha).

LOL, Gayle….Danny boy could be one big kindergartener the way the blue team guys treat him!!! He looked really good in his after shot though, you have to give him that!

Hey girls,ive been out side in this 70 degree weather...Oh I love it! I love working in my yards,watching my kids play!

I got my workout done this morning,didn't really increase anything though.the weight im at now is pretty challenging!

Belinda-Tonight on American Idol they get rid of one...I kinda have a few in mind! wich ones do you like?

Gayle-The southwestern soup is good with the brown rice in it! I wonder why i have to MAKE myself eat the things I freeze? Do you ever get like that? Once I take out of the freezer and microwave it and start smelling it....i want to eat it then,weird?LOL Congrats on the doms;-)

Kathy-High fives on your 7mile run and core workout...i need to do the rest of my workout,but dangit-I don't wanna.(abbs)I will while I watch american idol tonight;-)

Mellisa-Question about the bannana bread? Where do I get amaranth flour or can i just use a cup of whole wheat flour? also,ive never made bread in my life,so i would beat 4egg whites until fluffy...kinda like making whipping cream-can I use a mixer for this? and about the skim soured milk....i guess i can find that next to the milk in the grocery store. Forgive me,im new to all this,LOL;-)

Hi Amelia! I have no idea what amaranth flour is or where to get it so I just used whole wheat flour as a substitute. Yes, beating the egg whites is just like making whipping cream and I used my mixer. You just want to beat them until they start forming peaks. Also, I used 1% milk and soured it with 1T lemon juice instead of buying buttermilk. I didn't even use a fresh lemon, I just used that lemon juice that comes in the plastic lemon. LOL. Next time I make it I am going to try omitting the white flour and try using all whole wheat flour and see what happens.

Let me know if you have any other questions! After my workout I'll post the Oatmeal Applesauce muffins that I made on Sunday.
 
Hi all!

Just getting around to posting 'cause I needed to be at work at 6:30 this a.m.

No, I didn't go to the dr. The unmedical consensus is that yes, it is fractured, and that all the dr. will do is tape it to the toe next to it and tell me to stay off it, which is what I'm doing anyway. So I need to rethink my workouts for the next couple of weeks since they'll be all strength and no cardio. Also, no lunges (no lo pulsing lunges - darn!) or push-ups on toes (for which I was making progress). It has made me think really clean eating the past few days since I can't burn it off.

I found a new recipe for pancakes with cottage cheese and apples. I'm trying to get DH to make them out of sympathy for me. I'll let you all know.
