BFL for Wed Mar-19-08

Hi Kathy! We must have been posting at the same time!

Catherine (fit_fairy) gave me an excellent tip about setting up the step behind you in case you cannot get back up to standing while doing heavy squats. I think I'm definetly going to have do that tonight. 113 just sounds so heavy. But 108 wasn't too bad so I hope I can eek it out!! I'll have to make sure DH is within shouting distance.
 
Welcome Laura:7,your gonna love it here...everybody is SO VERY nice and just an inspiration to me! I did follow BFL exactly the first six weeks,then got board with the weight work,now i mix it up a bit with gs series and step for cardio(sometimes) I love those short HIIT though,LOL

Belinda-You will be in Savannah in May? were suppose to go on vacation sometime in may to tybee so maybe we can meet somewhere and exchange hugs and you can meet my family:)

Gayle-I KNOW what you mean...free days aren't really any fun anymore,i almost always don't know what to eat and then when I do-i kinda feel yucky for eating,not to mention my workout the next day suffers from the lack of nutrition,LOL! But I will not give it up}( gotta have that one cheat meal(ok,sometimes its a day}(}() i find that if i cheat all day,i go overboard and end up with a tummy ache!:+

Kathy-I did watch mondays Dancing with the stars! I too like the R&B singer...he really got his groove on,LOL did you watch it last night? I watched Idol instead!

Heidi-Wow,youve got quite a workout planned for today! You go girl!

Hey to everybody else,im sorry ive got to cut this short-I just finished my workout. Did GS legs,standing,and I need to get in the shower! I increased my weight on alot of it too! :)

Thanks Amelia! If I'm MIA tomorrow, you can assume that 113lbs was way to heavy and I had no business trying. ;-)

Melissa – That’s an EXCELLENT idea! I’m always afraid I won’t be able to get back up, lol. Let me know how that works out for you, okay?

Amelia – Yeah, the R&B singer was really into it and he has SO much potential. We taped last night and so I’ll watch it after dinner tonight. Yay, I’ll let you know how the women did.

Goodness, you all are quite the talkers today!

I did Muscle Max Upper body + abs. My arms are quivering! I had a hard time getting motivated this morning, but once I got started, time went by pretty quickly!

Belinda, thanks for the recipe! Looks yummy! Have you finished your workout yet? GET MOVIN'GIRL!

Heidi, wow, you have a tough workout planned. Good luck!

Amelia, I did GS legs 2 days ago and still have DOMS! Fun workout though! Congratulations on the weight increase!

Carolyn, have fun doing PUB! That's my favorite! How are the DOMS from yesterday?

Laura, I'm with Belinda, Gayle and Heidi on the DVD choices! I just ordered the Eat For Life Cookbook so I can't comment on that yet! Welcome!

Gayle, I agree with the motivation/excitement yesterday! It's contagious, isn't it? Hey, I need help folding...can you come over later? ;)

Kathy, great run today! My DS and I will be running a 10k next month! I believe you and I did the same ab workout.

Melissa, wow you are doing great with the weight increases! If you aren't "here" tomorrow, we'll send in the troops! Be careful!
 
Hi everyone.

I'm having a very lazy morning. Well, not as bad as yesterday, I've already done some laundry, some dishes, and cleaned the half-bathroom. Still, we got going leisurely this morning (well, the boys were up before 7 in spite of not having school, of course) but we've done everything pretty slowly. The bad news is our heater is on the fritz again. x( x( x( x( x( I wonder if that's enough frowny faces to convey how I feel about it. I've called the same plumber dude but he hasn't called back yet. x( x( x( x( x(

So we're cold again, so far the temp's only down to 61 in here, but that can be pretty chilly for an indoor temp.

I haven't done my exercise yet--need to do some upper body work today. Probably start setting up for it when I get off here.

Hope to come back when my little one naps. For now better work out soon and feed them lunch.

I finished PUB and my arms are quivering. I used my plate mates today for chest work. I put them on my 15's to make them 17.5 lbs. The 20's are just a tad heavy for fly work going at the speed Cathe goes for PUB. I also did Segment 3 of Core Max. I haven't done that one in forever.

My legs are progressively becoming sorer as the day goes on. I may not be able to move on the tennis court tomorrow:eek:

Melissa - Way to go on 113 lbs. I am dying to my use olympic barbell but it hurts my neck/shoulders. Do you use a pad or anything? Maybe I'm just holding it wrong. I have a high step that I can put behind me so I don't end up on the floor.

Woweeeee! You all have been busy since early this morn.;-)

Carolyn: I am with you on the weights today! I am already feeling my workout from PUB! I too use a bar pad...a metal bar sitting on my shoulders and neck area is too much.
I agree with you that the jump from 15#'s to 20#'s is too much. My weights today were 12,15,and 17#'s. I went down in the bi's from the previous round...today I used 8,10and 12#'s. My right arm is just sooo darn weak compared to my left. I just don't get it considering this is my writing arm. Ok...now I am thinking about it....I do use my left arm for hammering and anything technical. Maybe that is why.:)

Lainie: I hope you get that heater fixed soon! Keep warm...getting in your exercises will do this for sure. ;-) The only problem is keeping the kids from catching a chill in the meantime.:-(

Melissa: Have a great workout tonight! You can do it!:)

Kathy: Great job on your run and ab workout. I always get confused with the line-up of which DVD those workouts came from.:) DOMS ARE SETTTING IN BIG TIME RIGHT NOW! I guess I have been sitting at my desk doing paperwork too long...better get moving!

Belinda: Do you feel awake after your workouts? Sometimes I do and can climb mountains and other times I get exhausted several hours later. We'll see what this mornings workout does to me later!!! It was tough! Maybe I will tack that PLB on tomorrow's workout instead.;)

I have to head out to work but I just wanted to say WAY TO GO everyone on their workouts today!

Amelia** I am sure I can link up with you somehow once I am in GA.! Maybe we can have coffee or go out for lunch somewhere? My DH just told my Tybee Island is only 50 miles from Savannah! That isn’t too far! That is nothing compared driving in a 34 feet RV from El Paso to Georgia! I am not looking forward to that long drive! LOL! Great job on increasing your weight!

Hi everyone. I'm back. I'm still waiting on the plumber to come fix our heater. He did at least call back and said he'd be by "this afternoon"--not sure when that will be. Last time he said "around lunchtime" and arrived at noon, so that seemed like a good sign.

I did warm up quite a bit when I did my workout. I did a BFL Upper Body & abs. I also had to do some physical therapy exercises and I've gotten some more cleaning and laundry done, so I feel pretty productive today.

Belinda, that smoothie looks yummy--can I put it on the recipes lists on my blog?

OK, wanted to do lots more personals but one of my good friends is on the phone now and she's a super-talker. Will try to bbl.

hey girls:) just popping in for a bit!

Funny story this morning...i got dressed after my shower and my jeans were just really big on me? They didn't fit that way yesterday? so after calling my DH back to the bedroom he took one look at me,put his hand over his face and lowered his head..laughing! I WAS WEARING HIS PANTS :+! In my deffense they were both Levis:p

Well,I just ruined my nice clean eating day x( x( i just inhaled im not EVEN going to say how many chocolate chip cookies x(. Darnitx( ok, i will get back on track starting now and take it easy for the rest of the day! The worst thing I can do right now is beat myself up about itx(
