Hey guys! I LIKE having Free Day during the week. I'm too busy to get into the mentality of "I'm home all day and it's free day so I'll just SHOVE this thing in my mouth before tomorrow comes"! LOL I just had my lunch, which was a PB&J sandwich made with my Weight Watchers wheat bread and PB2! SO YUMMY! Plus a 2 oz dish of cashews. OH SO YUMMO!

Rhonda-sounds like had a great LB workout!!!!

Kathy-good run! What’s your long run this weekend? When and where (TM or outside)?

Lainie-we LOVE DOMS, right? Keep saying it! Also, for my first challenge, I did BFL TO THE T, BY THE BOOK. The ONLY thing I really changed was there were times that I did 30 minutes of HIIT instead of 20, but that’s it! And I got great results!

Michelle-take it easy, girl! And just know that as long as you keep your eating the way you HAVE been, you’ll be fine till your back comes back. HEY….maybe a few rest days will result in a nice loss! NOW…as for all the literature we read. Sometimes, TOO much research and information is a BAD BAD thing. Really. I say just keep on doing what you’re doing. And you know what? Where will you be when you hit that 12 week mark? You’ll have reached a goal (and a tough one at that), and you’ll be BETTER off than where you were 12 weeks prior. Now, having said that, no all programs work for every person, but how are you really going to know until you try it? Really. I try not to think too much about EVERYTHING at the same time. “cardio eats muscle, muscle is better than weight loss, lifting heavy is better than cardio” NONSENSE! It’s ALL GOOD! I PROMISE! I really believe you have to have a balance with ALL OF IT, and WE DO! We ARE balancing it all right now! You will lose weight BECAUSE of building muscle and you will gain muscle BECAUSE you’re doing cardio and dropping weight. It’s all good…. PROMISE!

Kim-LOVE PUB! Way to go! Enjoy that magazine (as I PATIENTLY wait for MINE to come).

Belinda-thanks for the review of the Cajon Shrimp! I’m about to go peel the shrimp now. I chopped all the veggies yesterday, so when the kids get home from school, I’m putting it all together ! I CAN’T WAIT! Oh…and I couldn’t remember if this was the week with double UPPER or double LOWER! LOL I got confused and this morning felt like UPPER! (shhhhhhhhhhhhh…but I think I’m squeezing in a second lower body endurance workout this weekend).

Belinda – Right now I’m running 3 days a week (but will increase to 4 days a week soon). :)

Gayle – My plan is to run outside probably Sat or Sun. I keep checking Yahoo weather for the forecast, lol. Right now both days look about the same (44-47 degrees and partly cloudy). I have 16 miles to run at about a 11-12 minute pace so I’ll be out there a good long while, lol (about 3 hours). I try to get it finished by 9 – 9:30 am so I can make breakfast for my family (yeah, I have a three males to worry about…DH and my sons). The low is only 40 degrees on Sunday so it should be bearable about 6:30 am to be out there.

I have to run in the morning, I’m so NOT an afternoon runner (especially after 2 cups of coffee and numerous bottles of water, lol). Anyway, I also have a 10 mile bike ride to do for my duathlon training (which should only be 45-50 minutes), so I’ll do it on the day I don’t run. It makes perfect sense, right? ;)

Belinda,

My legs aren't too sore yet. Actually they feel pretty good. Although I have a pretty good burn in my inner thigh.

Today was S/H Chest and Back. I went my heaviest yet on this and I can feel the DOMS setting in as we speak. I also did 6 assisted pull-ups afterwards. I went fully extended to the floor this time and BOY did that make a difference. (I may have used my leg to push me up on the last one}( ). I also feel the pull-ups in my upper abs. I will be ready for STS!!

Gayle - Congrats on your Honorable Mention. I think you should have won. You lost more weight and inches than the winner.

Sherry - You will love doing the 4DS. I am doing the 4DS on my cardio days and S/H for weights.

Rhonda - Where did you get the woody pull up bands?

Michelle - I'm sorry to hear your back is still giving you problems.
Will stretching it help it any?

Lainie - You're going to love your books. I need to buy my own copy instead of using the library copy. They keep wanting it back.

Kim - Is the Clean Eating Magazine worth getting? I have been back and forth with it. I don't need another pile of unread magazines hanging aroung the house.

Kathy - Great job on your runs. I wish I could run half your distance.

Melissa - Hope you are feeling better soon.

Hello to Heidi, Stephanie, and everyone else I may have missed.

WORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those of you that haven't made this recipe, YOU MUST TRY IT OUT! The Cajun Shrimp Stir Fry is simply TOO GOOD to be clean! LOL It's AWESOME! And it was so simple. I'll be eating the leftovers tomorrow and Thursday, and when they're all gone, I'm planning on making this same recipe, but with chicken instead! HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!!!!!!!!!! When I get a chance tonight after the kiddos are in bed, I will post the recipe here, unless somebody beats me to it!

OH

SO

YUMMY!

(I told you, I LOVE FOOD and I LOVE TO COOK! LOL)

Gayle

ETA!

OK....I just couldn't BEAR to keep you all in suspense, so I googled it and here's the recipe! You just HAVE to try this!

Cajun Shrimp Stir Fry
1 lb large shrimp , peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
2 teaspoons canola oil
2 green peppers , seeded, inner ribs removed and cut into strips
2 red peppers , seeded, inner ribs removed, and cut into strips
2 garlic cloves , minced
1/2 cup white wine (have a glass while cooking if you need to unwhine)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
hot sauce
2 cups cooked brown rice

Directions
1Toss shrimp with Cajun spice seasoning and set aside.

2Heat 1 tsp oil in large skillet and saute' peppers for 6 minutes over medium-high heat.

3Turn heat down and add minced garlic, stirring constantly so that garlic doesn't burn.

4Remove peppers and garlic from pan, wipe pan out with paper towel.

5Return pan to medium-high heat, and heat remaining tsp of oil.

6Add shrimp and cook approximately 3 minutes, stirring frequently.

7Add wine (don't forget about yours) and lemon juice, peppers and garlic, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.

8Season with hot sauce; serve each portion over 1/2 cup cooked brown rice
