BFL for Sun Mar-02-08 02

Hi and Good morning Kathy,

Great job on your run!:) Enjoy the rest of your day.

We were posting at the same time.

Heidi

Hi everyone. I enjoyed my free day yesterday--maybe a little too much.... We went to the mall and ate at Chili's--ordered a frozen strawberry margarita and they brought 2--turned out they had a 2 for 1 deal going. Luckily DH helped me with that. I also indulged by helping eat an Awesome Blossom (onion ring kind of thing). However, I went lighter on the entree and had a Guiltless Chicken Sandwich. It's shocking to read the calories and fat of the stuff they call "guiltless"--makes me wonder how bad the rest of it is. DH had some kind of massive bacon cheeseburger. Eek.

Anyway, back to it today. I didn't get up early to do my workout but I'll do it when my little one naps this afternoon--think I'll be doing a premix of Low Max.

Belinda, hope you're enjoying your rest day.

Sherry, I envy you that you can work out on your rest day! I wish my knees could take that. I really need the rest when the time comes.

Heidi, you're welcome for the spreadsheets on my website. So you print yours out and do them by hand? I usually do mine on the computer, but it's convenient enough for me because I keep my laptop in the living room, which is also where I work out.

Gayle, I found doing the 4-day split as planned worked great for me (but I'm not as fit as you). I would take days between the 4 days and do yoga or cardio. Also, you could do the 4 days straight, then take a couple days off and do a full body workout, then take a day or two off and do 4 days of 4DS again. Does that make sense? Oh well, I may not know what I'm talking about. I just mean it doesn't have to be a week-long plan but you could do a 10-day rotation or something.

Melissa, how does it feel to be on week 10--do you see a lot of changes already?

OK, speaking of the recipes, it occurred to me this was another thing I could keep on my blog for people to download? Gayle, would you give me permission to put that list you emailed me on there? And if anyone has any more to share, just send them on to me at [email protected]

Hi Lainie! You are AWESOME for putting all that stuff on your blog for people to access. Let us know when and if the recipes get on there. I'd love to have that.

It feels great to be on Week 10 and I definetly notice some changes. I can actually see muscles! Even in my thighs...IT'S A MIRACLE!!

Sounds like you enjoyed yourself at Chili's last night.:9 I usually order from their "Guiltless" menu when we eat there. I wouldn't exactly categorize it as guiltless, but like you said, it makes me wonder how bad the rest of it is.

Hey guys...really quick! I'm STILL PATIENTLY WAITING FOR SO to get home! I've changed and am ready to go, but he's NOT HOME YET!!!!

Lainie-I've added a few more recipes (maybe 2) to the BFL document of recipes. I'll email it to you as soon as I get a chance. I don't mind at all! Thanks for sharing it all with everybody!

Kathy-WAY TO GO on your run! I'll report back with my stats when I get home!

Gayle

p.s. I'm giving SO till 1pm (that's 10 more minutes) then I'm going to call in a favor from a neighbor/friend so I can get out and RUN RUN RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOOKIN' GOOD, Kathy! KEEP ON PUSHING IT!!! You're doing AWESOME, woman!

Just a quick note...I called SO and he's on his way home. I should be on my way by 3pm (later than I wanted, but it's better than the TM, right?)!

Gayle

OK, I put the recipes all on one document and loaded it up. You can find it at http://web.mac.com/lainiefig/iWeb/Site/Exercise/Exercise.html or link there from the main blog page at http://fitnessfig.blogspot.com

Maybe I'll mention it on the OD forum if I get a chance later--going to go do my workout now.

gayle, are you training for a race? I just seen howmuch you are running. So you are incorporating more cardio in this challenge? I am toying with the idea of less cardio but for now I am adding extra wt lifting and going as heavy aas I can. Have fun on your run today!

Hey guys! I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCKKK!

I just got in from my 10 miler. HEre are my numbers, just in case anybody' interested! LOL

10 miles
time: 1:37:17
pace: 9:44
calories burned: 1170

I'm happy with that. It was GORGEOUS out there!

Laura-yes, I'm training for a half marathon at the end of April. That's the only reason I've got so much running in this challenge. I was just looking at my calendar from April till the beginning of June (when school lets out) and it's pretty clear with the exception of smaller races that I don't need so much running for. So, if no longer races pop up, once this Half is over, I'm going right back to the 20 minutes of HIIT as per BFL!

OK...I stink! lol Time to shower and go meet up with SO and the kiddos!

Gayle

Hello everyone,

Just checking out what is going on...

Thank you to all that put forth information for the BFL recipes for Lainie to put on her blog site.:)

Gayle: Glad that you finally got out there! Great run!

Going to get dinner for the kiddos.

I have been wearing my hands out scrubbing/scraping the floors and walls on the third floor. Trying to clean up all the sheetrock dust and blops of compound on the floors. It just seems to never end... I got as far as the stairs, master bathroom, 2 closets and a hallway done. I still have an office, study, master bedroom and walk in closet and 6 more smaller closets to do! My back is giving out! So I am done for now. Tomorrow is another day.

And No...to getting in BM2 today. Felt determined to get as much done upstairs as possible. Just didn't realize it's going to take much longer than I expected. :-( As you said Kathy...starting a project does take that much longer than you first anticipate!

I hope everyone has a great evening.

My DH is calling me tonight!:) :) :) He text me this morning to let me know he made it safely back to Grand Cayman. Phew! Now all he has to do is make it back here. He will be coming home on Weds. evening late. Have to give him a party for coming home now..hehe :p

Take care,
Heidi

Hi Everyone,
Late to the party today. I feel so much better than yesterday. Guess that is becaus I took some Nyquil and had a good nights rest. It took me a while but I did get on the treadmill for 40 minutes and did the iTread w/Nick. Had to go slower when he had you doing the side walks. I also had a hard time with him as it wasn't always clear when to change up your speed/incline. But it was good for me.

When I got done, I came upstairs and Hubby offered to make me a grilled cheese for lunch. Couldn't pass that up.

Right now we are cooking dinner, ribs on the grill and greek mac-n-cheese (from Cooking Light magazine).

Sounds like everyone is doing great. Back to the weights for Monday. Either BFL or PUB. Haven't quite decided.
