BFL for Sat Mar 22nd 2008

Good Morning Everyone

My hip flexor is feeling much better today. Thanks for all your healing vibes.

Not sure if I will be able to get a workout in today. Too many things happening and too much running around.

Belinda - Have fun with your cardio!

I'll try to check in later.

Carolyn

Belinda, which workout did you end up doing? I hope you have a FABULOUS day! How far do you have to drive to get to your sister's house tomorrow? Be careful and have fun with the family!

Carolyn, I thought about you throughout the day wondering if you made it to the match! Glad you are felling better!

Heidi, did you get all your stuff for the 3rd floor? I love Home Depot! I could spend days just looking and dreaming! As for your question yesterday, I was performing squats, went the heaviest ever, and I knew I shouldn't. I'm sitting in ice now and plan on stretching throughout the day today and tomorrow. Doctor on Monday.

Melissa, I'm glad you were able to cancel your cancel! :p Did you try ff cream cheese on your bread yet? As soon as I finish here, I am going to the fridge! :9

Good mornig girls,

No workout yet! I got a hair cut instead!LOL! It's kinda short, but hair crown back, right! DH went to the gym and I am getting ready to do my workout!

Carolyn** I am glad you doing much better today! Enjoy your rest day!

Stephanie** What workout are you doing today? Enjoy your day today!

Off to my workout! I will be back!
Hi to everyone that follows today!

Wow, what a hairstyle change! Do you like it? What did your DH say?

I am making Southwest Chicken Soup right now...smells delicious! Do you want to come over for lunch, well supper for you! :) I'll fix you a bowl!

Yummy, I’ll take some of that Southwestern soup Stephanie! Oh and some tea with a lemon wedge please, lol! Mmmmm…..

Belinda – Your new hairdo sounds cute! Wow, that’s a big change to cut that much off!

Carolyn – I’m so happy to hear your hip flexor is better today! One more day of rest may do it some good. ;)

Well, I ran my 18 miles this morning. The weather was actually not too bad! It was cloudy but not too windy….about 40 degrees. I had layered up a lot thinking I was going to need it but ended up “stripping” down to a long sleeve shirt and sweat jacket (no gloves, just my head band to keep the wind out of my ears).

My time was 3:22:42 which is an 11:15 pace which I’m quite happy with….hopefully I’ll be finishing the marathon in under 5 hours. Oh, the last half mile was the hardest but I kept thinking about a nice warm cup of coffee and some egg white quiche, lol!

Kathy

Great run Kathy! AWESOME pace too! I'm glad the weather cooperated for you! I've set you a place at the table for you with tea and lemon!

Have a super day!

Good Morning to you all!

I got up at 5am and then went right back to bed. I was up really late last night watching The Invasion with DS and DH.

So far this morning it was dishes, laundry and clean up bathrooms....again. The never ending house duties!

I planned on 4DS all upper today...so this will get done after going out to the Kitchen/Bath store. A friend is coming over to exercise and maybe we can do this together. :)

Belinda: Enjoy your workout! Which cardio did you end up doing?

Stephanie: Oooooo  stretch carefully! My Behind is much better today and I can sit down with out it hurting. My legs did tighten up after yesterday's LIS but it is all good today.

The third floor is going to need many items but all in good time...right?:)

Kathy: Awesome job on your run today!:7 It is pretty sunny here and maybe I should go for a run later this afternoon with DD when she comes back from her trip North.

Melissa: I am soooo confused about STS! One minute I want to call and cancel and the next my curiosity gets the better of me. I just don't want to have to spend money right now on any more equipment. This is basically what is bothering me the most.
I guess we will both find out soon how great this will turn out to be.;-)

Carolyn: Glad to hear that your doing better today. Enjoy your rest day too!:)

Hello to everyone that follows.:)
Have a great day! BBL Heidi

Hi girls,

I did Cardio Hits " Power Max" and abs! That is a fun workout!

Stephanie**I am on my way! LOL! Oh and some tea with a lemon wedge please, lol! Mmmm !! I am getting hungry!

Kathy** fantastic job on your 18 mil. run this morning! Awesome timing! WTG! I always change my hairdo! Change is good! One day I will have it all short! LOL!

Heidi** I hate housework!Aww, everyday the same thing! I did laundry and the bathrooms this morning too! I feel the same about STS! I think once I have those DVD’s I am fine! I know it will be Cathe’s best workouts!

Off to get cleaned up! Get dinner ready! BBL!
Belinda

Happy Saturday BFLers!!!

Stephanie - I'll come over for some soup!!! Did I just invite myself...how rude!:p I did try the ff cream cheese on the bread this morning. Delish...

Carolyn - glad you are feeling better!

Belinda - 5-6 inches, WOW! That must be quite a change for you. I am a big fan of short hair so WAY TO GO!!

Kathy - sounds like you had a good run! Enjoy the rest of your day.

Heidi - I hear you about STS. I'm still going back and forth about it, but I'm gonna stick with my order. I'm sure I won't be disappointed, it's just alot to take in. Plus, I keep thinking of what else I could do with that $200 and that's kind of bumming me out too. Another thing I keep thinking about is once I do it once through (even though it'll take 3 months), what's next? I'm hoping it doesn't just sit there, you know what I mean?

This is the end of Week 11 for me girls. So far, I'm stuck at 12.8 lbs down. Which is good, I'm not complaining, I just haven't lost anything in the last two weeks and was hoping to finish with a BANG!! But still, even if I don't lose anything this coming week, that's about 1 lb a week and that's not too shabby. If I lose another 12 after the 2nd challenge, that'll be about 24lbs down (didn't know I could add, did 'ya ;-) ) and right in time for the summer! So that's where I'm at...

Okay, going out to fly kites. We just bought some that are birds and their wings are supposed to flap up and down as they fly. We got a parrot and a toucan. We'll see how long they last before they get stuck in a tree!

BBL

Stephanie – Thanks! How was your soup? Mmmm….

Belinda – Change is good! I really need a style make-over. My 24 yr. old daughter thinks I could use some help, lol.

Heidi – What did you think of Invasion? Pretty good, huh? We saw it at the movies and I wasn’t sure how it would be but I enjoyed it!

Melissa - I think you’re going to LOVE STS. When I did Leanness Lifestyle “his” workout generator was periodization. It’s based on YOUR weights and ability so it’s very flexible in that the same workout can work for everyone! I had the best strength gains doing periodization, I can’t wait to see Cathe’s take on it in STS! The value for so many DVDs is amazing….and the way it’s broken down into cycles is great too. If you like one mesocycle better than the other’s you can stay there for a while before moving on. Great job on this BFL challenge! You did awesome….over 12 lbs. is super! :) I wish I could say I lost that much but I didn’t.....only about half that amount!

Kathy

Kathy - Thanks! I'm pretty proud of myself. The scale is becoming less and less important as time goes on and that's a great thing. I really regret not taking measurements at the beginning of the challenge so I'm definetly taking them before I start the next one. And I think you are right that I'm going to love STS. And the more I think about how many DVDs I'm getting for that $200, I agree, what a value!!

So dinner is on the stove and DD is quietly working on her puzzle book. DH is outside changing my oil so the house is nice and quiet. After dinner we are going to the movies to see Horton Hears a Who. I am going to sneak in my own snacks..}( ! I'm such a rebel!!

You know, I've been thinking alot over the past week or so about how much things have changed since I started BFL. I was just in the fridge getting out my veggies and it amazes me how different even my fridge looks. Lowfat cottage cheese...plain yogurt...leftovers?!?! Who put those in there? I also discovered that I LOVE to cook. I used to be the first one to suggest going out to eat. There was a point where we were going out every other night. NOT GOOD! I love trying out new, clean recipes. Even if I'm the only one that will eat them! More for me, right?! I feel like my whole life has changed. A little dramatic, I know, but wanted to share!

Okay, off to finish up dinner and get to the movies. Talk to everyone tomorrow!

Just wanted to check-in with everyone.

Slept in again today – until almost 7:00. I must have really needed the sleep. Everyone else was up shortly after I was, so no workout, and couldn’t get to the computer ‘til now. Thought about a run earlier today, but it warmed up quickly and was already getting slushy outside. We got 5 inches of snow last night. Most of the day has been spent doing errandmax, grocerymax, cleanmax – typical Saturday stuff.

So I think I have Easter dinner figured out. We‘re having turkey bacon & broccoli quiche, a spinach salad, biscuits or hearty grain bread, etc. for a nice brunch. My aunt & uncle are burning the champagne. My brother is in town for the weekend, too. I’m even getting out the china and crystal.

Belinda – I bet your hair looks so cute.

Carolyn – Glad you feel so much better.

Stephanie – When is dinner? I’m sure many of us will be there, since I can smell it all the way here. I think dinner will be tacos this evening.

Kathy – Awesome run! Was the coffee waiting for you when you got home?

Heidi – Yes, house stuff is never ending. I think STS will be great! I don’t have all of the equipment yet, either, but I figure I don’t have to have it all the first day.

Melissa – You’ve done awesome! Now only are you down in weight, but just think how much stronger you are now! I’m sure if you get great results with STS, it won’t be sitting on the shelf. I’m sure the DVD’s can be rotated in with everything else. I agree with Kathy. And I’m glad the challenge has had such a positive affect on you, and your frig!

Have a great evening and see you all tomorrow!
