BFL for Mon Feb-04-08

Hi Stephanie –

I am pretty new here too, and I can tell you that you are going to get TONS of inspiration from these ladies!!

I have been doing a modified BFL plan for a little over a week now, and I am already feeling really great with lots more energy than usual! I hope you have a great time on the program and that you’ll get plenty of extra motivation from checking in here. Have a great day!

Christina

Belinda-pick an iTread….and OFF YOU GO, my dear! LOL Honestly, my very first few iTreads were ‘regular’ (meaning NOT intervals or sprints) 60 minute workouts. In them, you have 2 separate 30-minute workouts and they pretty much will include everything…hills, sprints, intervals, tempo, speed, etc.

Stephanie-welcome aboard Motivation Station! lol I am SOOO humbled that my success story helped you decide to give BFL a shot. It’s not going to kill you, I PROMISE! LOL Seriously, welcome aboard. These ladies are LOADED with info, support, motivation and ideas (not to mention all the food recipes we keep passing around here). Post with ANY questions you have and we’ll help you best we can! And YES,….you can use Cathe’s workouts. It’s all about CONSISTANCY with clean eating and dedicated TOUGH workouts!

Christina-that smoothie sounds YUMMY!

Sherry-I hope you’re feeling better SOON! Enjoy your bananas and rice! LOL

Carolyn-my motto is KEEP ON TRUCKIN! Keep on it….that waist will wittle away! Just KEEP ON TRUCKIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone! I'm feeling kind of chipper right now. Someone in the office just asked if I was losing weight, said that she notices it in my face. YAY!!! Not that it really matters if people notice or not, but it made me feel good. She also works for me, so maybe she's just trying to score some brownie points...NAH, I'm just going to take that compliment!!

And, she asked what I was doing and she is doing BFL as well. Has been for quite some time. However, she went on to tell me that she didn't want to do the weight part of the plan because she's "not into bodybuilding" and doesn't like that look on a woman. I was thisclose to going there, but decided not to get into that conversation with her.

Welcome Stephanie! Nice to have you with us.

Man, I have been drowning myself with water these past two days and still feel bloated! I should be burning something off since I'm constantly walking up and down the hall to the bathroom...

So I decided to do GS Legs tonight and go as heavy as I can without my "human squat rack". I'm waiting not-so-patiently for WalMart to email me saying my weight bench/rack is in. I think this is really going to help me kick it up to next level!

Hi girls,

Christine** glad you enjoyed PLB! How did you like abs exercises from Oxygen?

Heidi** iTread 4, 9 and 24 would be good for an easy run!

Gayle** awesome job on PUB today! How are your legs doing after your race? Gayle iTread 13 is tough! What are you doing to me?? I really loved it! That last hill almost pushed me over the hill! LOL! Do you only sprints? I will check out iTreads website and go with a regular run! I had Salmon and a small baked potato for dinner too!

Melissa** have fun with GS legs tonight! You should feel good about yourself, people at your office noticing your weight loss! Great job!

Kathy** awesome job on BFL Lower Body Workout + PS Legs (floor work) + Amy Bento Abs! WOW! How do you feel after all that workouts? I really need to start doing more!

Stephanie Welcome!

Sherry**I hope you feel better soon! Sending you lots of healing vibes!

Carolyn ** nice job on GS legs! I hope you are feeling better soon as well

Have a great day!

Hey ladies!

I'm finally getting back to you all!!

Heidi - thanks for all the ab workouts -- I need to start doing them. I have been doing a lot more on my stabilty ball to try to use my abs - like this morning when doing my chest work, I did them using the ball instead of my bench. Hopefully, that's helping slim my abs a little!

Belinda - I WANT to be a jogger too!!! So far in this 5 weeks, I have only jogged once. I did 2 miles and felt great! However, I'm a wimp and hate the cold. Now that it is warming up -- I'll meet you outside for a jog soon!!

Christina - I've never heard of glutamine -- that's really neat it helps you with your DOMS.

Gayle - Wow -- 21# for those biceps!! That's awesome Gayle!

Kathy - Okay, I'll go up in weights with you on Friday! I was thinking the same thing today when I was doing PUB.

Stephanie - Welcome -- you are going to love it here!

Christina - I can't even begin to explain the ENERGY!! I've worked out before - and always just felt tired and could never get up in the mornings. Now I'm jumping out of bed at 4:30. It must be that I'm working out 6 days (and not 2 or 3), plus eating protein, and of course, the most importanat motivating factor .... is that I have all of you!! :) Enjoy all the ENGERY!!

Sherry and Carolyn -- Get better soon you two!

Melissa - Oh my gosh, how on earth is your co-worker doing BFL without the weights?! Crazy!! But I hear you - why even go into the details! How cool that people are noticing all your hard work!!

One more thing -- I enjoyed my rest day yesterday -- but how crazy is this -- it was my free day -- and I ate clean anyway. Man, somebody better take my temp., I must be sick too!! :) har har!!!

Hi back again,

Hello and welcome Stephanie!

Belinda: I would have to say yes to the 4,9,24 iTreads as being a nice easy workout for the reason you can do 1/2 or all of the 60min's. Also, because you can choose your preference walking, jogging or running. I would start out at the lowest end of the jogging and work your way up to the highest end. If this is still too fast...start at the highest end of the walking which would make you want to jog it anyway and work your way up to the jogging speed. ;-) Build your endurance a little bit at a time. 20min's and then add 5min's or so. You'll feel stronger somedays and are able to run longer...believe me. :) Feeling burnt....take a walking day.

Melissa: What a great feeling to have someone notice. :) Feel the burn on GS tonight.

Christina: You are welcome on the ab workout ideas. There are many others but these are what I usually alternate during the month. The first 4 are pretty tough. Thanks for the smoothie recipe. :9

Kathy: I don't have those ab workouts but might have to check them out at some point. Great job today on your workout.

Sherry: Hope you and your DD feel better soon. I had to leave work early today because I felt terrible. I hope that I am not coming down with something too. :(

Carolyn: The same for you. You are really brave to have done your workout even though you weren't feeling good.

Hi Michelle: We were posting at the same time....Great job on your workout. You are right...using the stability ball for upper body workouts is great for your abs! :)

I came home with a really bad headache...took two tylenol and laid down for about 1hr. DH is home and resting now. I was planning on doing my workout after work but I think I am going to wait a little longer for the meds to kick in. My DD comes home late from school today so this will give me some extra time before having to run out again to pick her up.
