BFL for Fri Mar 21st 2008

Morning Belinda and everyone who follows!
I had my rest day today. My long run tomorrow is 18 miles but the forcast is calling for possible snow. x( Hopefully I can get at least half (if not all) of my run done outside. I may have to come home and do some of it on the treadmill if it's slick outside.

I am feeling those leg DOMS big time today from yesterdays workout! :eek: I had to join Carolyn last night with some advil.

Speaking of Cayolyn...how are you today?

Today's plan:
LIS and then a really good stretch session.

Kathy: Enjoy you rest day today. :) Oh...my DH chickened out last night on his workout.;-) Maybe he'll do it tonight.

Hi Gayle: I read your posts from last night...you are doing great and this is just some quirk due to your training schedule. You have quite a serious workout schedule going on and I think that your body is trying to compensate for the need for more calories. This increase in appetite is a way your body sends signals to help in the repair process. Ok...you might think that this is an excuse but this is what I believe.:)

Im so excited,were leaving for the weekend get away this afternoon:7 can't wait to just GET AWAY:)

Todays workout is GS shoulders,back and biceps...i love doing my shoulders:) I always get a real good burn.

Heidi-OH dontcha just love the DOMS,I too had to pull out the ibuphrophen last night..my quads were so sore!

Kath-Wow an 18mile run...:eek: i complain about 3miles :+,your amazing!:) YOU GO GIRL!

Currently still waiting on DS to get ready for school.

Have a great workout! }( I was going to do 4DS All Upper but...my butt is killing me! :eek: I don't think I could handle lifting today so I am going to try to loosen up instead.

Tomorrow I will do my upper workout.

Hey Heidi,i love doms but thos butt doms i think are the worst :+ man,it makes it hard to go potty,LOL. Your very wise to listen to your body,i too will not be doing any lifting(well,lb lifting i should say)but my upper body is ready for another rumble! Have a great workout girlfriend!

Good morning, ladies!

I LOVE all the DOMS-speak! LOL I just can't believe how sore I am from the P90X UB workouts! LOL I LOVE IT!!!!!!! I have to tell you, that in the Chest, Shoulder, Tri workout, he does a set of pushups using paper plates, just like Cathe is doing in STS! lol Watch out!

I think I'm taking a rest day today too. I've just got 11 miles for this weekend, but these DOMS need to rest and recoop, right?

Kathy-I'm offering up a small prayer that the snow holds off long enough for you to get the MAJORITY of those 18 miles in.

Thanks ladies, for all the support yesterday! This morning is going MUCH better. I have vowed that today will be 100% clean and on-target. I had protein pancakes for breakfast and am looking forward to turkey meatloaf muffins and asparagus for lunch!

I think a bit part of my complacency (sp???) these few days is the fact that we have nothing on our calendar. I spoke to a few friends yesterday and I love being busy and on-the-go. Although there IS something to be said for having a quiet life, I like busy! LOL But I guess I should be glad it's like this NOW, because once I become PTA Pres, it's going to get crazy around here! :)

OK...kids are calling!

Belinda: Yeah! Great job on your workout! Just finished up mine. I did the LIS DVD and it felt great...until the last blast. Boy my legs were screaming towards the end. It is a really great workout after a leg day! I feel much better now.

Amelia: Have a safe trip! Enjoy your weekend. :7 I look forward to seeing you back here on Monday morning.

Kathy: I thought this was spring already! Darn that snow. My DD is suppose to be snowboarding with her friends today....it is really windy out! I hope she dosen't get blown off the mountain!!!

Hey girls,real quick...I just finished my workout I did GS S/B/B then some tough abb work on the bench then a 1.5 mile powerwalk! I must go pack for my trip:) I won't be back until monday so everybody have a WONDERFUL weekend!


Belinda-were are going to callaway gardens,its only like a two hour drive from here! There is also a safari,petting zoo for the kids and a gold course for DH.

Stephanie** the stores are closed off post today (because of Good Friday)! My DH and I just came back from the commissary that is it! On post everything is open! Thank goodness! Not much is going on here! How about you? Any plans? I will cook dinner shortly and watch TV (or a movie?). On Sunday DH and I will go to my sister house for Easter. What are you doing on Easter?

Belinda, what's for supper tonight? Have a great time at your sister's! I will be staying home. All DH's family live in the area so we all go over to DH's parents house with his brothers/spouses and their kids. I think the menu is Honey Baked Ham, Turkey and all the fixin's! I'm pretty sure this will be my free day! And lots of desserts; pies, cakes, ice cream. I'm not much of a sweets eater, but I go crazy on salty foods.

Kathy, you amaze me with your endurance and determination! It's contagious too! Thanks!
 
Hi everyone! Sorry, no time for personals today. DD is at work with me and I am just a little distracted.

I had some speckled egg Easter M&M's last night...:9 . I stopped before devouring the entire bag, so that's good!!

BFL UB for me tonight. YAY! I've been trying to add in some band work for some variety. I haven't lost any weight in a couple of weeks, but I'm feeling pretty good about the changes I'm seeing and feeling.

I'll try to come back later for personals IF SHE LETS ME!!!;-)

We are home...AHHHH!! Now I have a few minutes while DD is singing along to her HSM cd.

Heidi - It is really nice to be able to bring her into work with me. I had completely forgot that there was no school today so I didn't make arrangements for her. But my boss is great. He has no problem with her coming in with me. I usually bring her in once on Christmas break and then a couple of other days throughout the year. She gets a kick out it. I did end up doing Step Blast w/ the challenge last night. I just love the blasts!

Amelia - have a great weekend away! I’m envious. I have had this overwhelming feeling lately that I just need to get away. I will have to live through you this weekend so have some fun for me too!!

Kathy – Enjoy your rest day! And your LOOONNNGGG run tomorrow.

Carolyn – I hope you are OK. How are you feeling since yesterday?

Gayle – I read your post from yesterday last night but haven’t really had a chance to give you any support. I hope you are getting back on track. I think once you get one full day of clean eating in, it’ll get easier and easier for you to move forward. So what would you say if it was one of us: KEEP ON TRUCKIN’ MAMA!!! You rock woman, don’t forget it!

Stephanie – glad to hear you got to sleep in today. I already told DH that tomorrow is my day to sleep in and he can take Sunday. He hasn’t realized yet though that DD will have us up at the crack of dawn to hunt for Easter eggs on Sunday. Isn’t that evil?!}(

Meals for today. Not my usual so I'm feeling a little strange...

M#1: 1 slice applesauce banana bread & 1 c skim milk
M#2: salad w/1 1/2 egg whites, sunflower kernels & some strawberries
M#3: a HUGE apple (forgot to bring my string cheese with me x( )
M#4: coffee/vanilla protein shake, 1 slice applesauce banana bread (probably shouldn't have had 2 slices in one day but I couldn't resist)
M#5: grilled chicken, 1/2 c brown rice & steamed carrots
M#6: not sure yet, we'll probably have dinner later than usual so I might not fit this in.

Melissa: I am so glad that you have enjoyed that Banana Applesauce bread!:9
I have had mine toasted, w/peanut butter, in a sandwich or with fat free cream cheese. It is a big hit with the family too.

This weekend I am making the applesauce oatmal muffins. :9 These will go great with breakfast.
