BFL for Feb-28-08

Hi Belinda:

I plan on SH Chest/Back, Abs from KPC and iTread Set 9 60min. But only part a of that iTread. This is my goal workout that is if everything runs smoothly getting people off to school on time.

Lainie - I take my free day either Saturday or Sunday. I don't think it matters. Unfortunately for me sometimes it runs into two days. I try my best but sometimes the urges get the best of me.

Heidi – Yikes, doesn’t it always seem like the job gets bigger when you actually start doing it, lol? Me and DH would start a home project thinking “it’s a piece of cake” and end up spending twice as long on it!

Gayle – LOL, I actually keep a long of miles run yearly. So far in 2008, I’ve run 187.75 miles. I’ve actually figured out on paper how I could make the 2nd challenge AND my training work, so it’s definitely do-able. We’ll see how much more I want to lose after this challenge. As far as clothing goes, I layer. I wear a “coolmax” material long sleeve shirt, a terry cloth sweatshirt, and if it’s really cold….a light jacket on top of that too. If it gets warmer, I “de-layer” until I’m comfortable. For pants, I have a great pair of light “thermal” type running pants. They’re very light material but for some reason the wind doesn’t cut through them. I bought them at www.roadrunnersports.com a couple of years ago….they’re made by Mizumu (sp?) I’ve about worn them out, lol!

Rhonda – Thanks for the info! I missed the HSN sale, maybe I can pick a couple of them up off the swaps to try. Oh man, I want to join Coach Troy’s DVD a month club too! I can’t afford another monthly payment though, DH would kill me! I’m going to be biased and say Iron Girl Runerval (but only because I want that one too, lol!)

Ooops, here’s a list of the events I’m pretty sure I’m doing this year. I keep referring to them (you’ll be sick of me soon….ha,ha!)

1) March 15 - St. Patrick’s Day 10 Mile Race

2) April 27 – Bassman Spring Duathlon (Bass River, NJ) – Run 3.1 miles, Bike 29 miles, Run 3.1 miles

3) May 4th – NJ Marathon

4) July 6th – Philadelphia Women’s Triathlon (Sprint – 750m swim/17 mile bike/5k run)

5) Mid August (no date set yet) – Turkey Swamp 50k run

I’m still trying to find a place to swim (for training for the triathlon). So far my only choice is a community center about 10 miles from my house. I could buy a 3 month membership for about $100 (that would include the pool, aerobics, weight room, and yoga). I’m still trying to decide if it would be worth it.

Belinda - Imax 2 is my favorite...cleanmax is my least favorite!

Sherry - I now have a house filled with GS Cookies. Very tempting. My DD opened a box of Lemonades last night, but I didn't touch them!

Gayle - Okay DAN MUST GO!!! He so thinks he's "all that". I wonder what would have happened if he didn't get immunity.

Rhonda - I am feeling much better today, thanks for asking. I hope you sleep better tonight!

Christina - you have ACTUAL muscles on your legs???? Get OUTTA HERE!!! LOL. That is awesome. Must have felt great to see that reflection!

Carolyn - I certainly hope that the flu doesn't find your house. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Did you High Step arrive yet? I do not have slanted risers yet, but I really want them!

Kathy - I'm in the same boat, I really want to finish this 12-weeks instead of restarting at week 9. But I do want to enter the contest. I'll have to read up more on it.

Heidi - Hi! Was it nice to hear your DH's voice last night?

HEY...DID ANYONE ESLE NOTICE THAT THEY KEPT THEIR SHIRTS ON DURING THE WEIGH-IN ON BL THIS WEEK????

So I decided to weigh myself this morning, not sure why, but I'm down another 2lbs for a total of 12. The flu probably has alot to do with that, though. I'm going to try to get in an UB workout tonight even though it's supposed to be HIIT. I definetly don't have it in me to do HIIT today, maybe tomorrow. I really want to do LB, but I can't see me squatting the necessary weight without potentially falling over. And that would not be good. My food has been pretty minimal again today, nothing really appeals to me which is probably why I've lost 2lbs since Sunday.

M#1: 2 pieces ww toast w/1T natural pb
M#2: beef & barley soup
 
Hi Melissa: Glad that you are feeling a little better today. Eating light is ok after the flu. Do what is best for your tummy. ;-) It takes about a week after the flu to get back to some sort of norm.

Yes...I was really happy to hear that he missed me a lot. Thought that he was going to cry there for a moment. ;-) This weekend he is headed to Little Cayman to visit with some more relatives and then on to Cayman Brac. So he won't be able to call me for the next couple days.
We have a large family and they are spread out among the 3 islands. The last time I made this journey was when my youngest was only about 2. I hope to get down there again sometime later this year.

Well....time to run again. Have to stop into work and see what is up. BBL Heidi
