BFFM week of Oct. 3

Hi all!!!

TK - Glad the hip is better. Good luck with your weigh-in tomorrow. Interesting mish mosh you cooked up.

Calories today - 1575 - 20%F, 46%C, 34%P and 160 oz. of water. I did PLB, PUB core and the basic stretch.

Hope you had a wonderful day!! :)

Hi Burners,

Not the best week for me. I have a nasty cold and my eating is awful. But I try my best.

Kimbra- Welcome in the group! Your calorie needs are too high. When you did the calculation you subtracted your body weight instead your lean mass.
That’s why you got that high calorie needs. Sarah /Imafitnessfreak/ figured it out for you. Those numbers are confusing and I had to do it at least 3 times to figure out the right numbers for myself.

TK- good luck with weigh in, after these workouts you will love the numbers tomorrow.

I will try to get back to the plan from tomorrow.

Have a nice evening!

Krisztina

Hey 'Burn the fat people'

Woo hoo, down 3 pounds this week. That's a little too much but I'm hoping one of those pounds belonged to last week (TTOM last week). I did Stepworks this morning. I don't know what it is about Stepworks but when I do it on an 8" step it kicks my butt - moreso than any IMAX, Terminator, or mish mosh I cook up.

I'm planning a cheat meal tonight but haven't decided what it will be. But I do know it will be not be chicken or fish!

One more pound until my first minigoal. The 3FatChicks site is down, so I'll have to change my little pig slider later.

Happy burning everyone!

Hi Burners,

Aw...I dropped a little weight again. No big deal...I'll try to eat more today (at least I know I am gaining muscle and losing body fat).:) I've also increased the amount of Udo's choice in my diet. It tastes really good when you mix it with Oatmeal, protein and bananas. It really brings out the flavor of the bananas. The only problem is that it makes you less hungry for the next meal. Oh well...anyway...

Holy cow, TK, your three amigos sounds like a killer! I don't think my heart (my poor little regurgitating mitral valve) could take that kind of workout...LOL. Heck, I thought the Hardcore Extreme Interval workout I did Sunday was tough enough! To tell the truth, I'm not even sure I have enough fast twitch muscle fibers in my entire body to do that kind of workout ;-) . I do bow to you!

Well, time to get ready for work. Have a great day burners!

Robin

Hello Burners and Happy Friday!

X - I just noticed your line "Best to burn together" - that's why I thought I'd better post.

I haven't been feeling 100% the last couple days, today I just feel all over zonked. I had planned to get up, work for 1-1/2, drop DD off at kindergarten and work out. That turned into get up, rush to kindergarten, and have been working on the computer since (I work at home). I think today will be a rest/sick day. The bad thing is I've been eating carbs all morning. The GOOD thing is I'm counting them AND today is my high day, so all is not lost. I thought I'd come on here and post and make sure it doesn't turn into a binge-fest. This is my 9th day binge-free and I'm counting down until Day 21, in accordance with the first BFFM chapter on goal-setting. I feel better just typing this!

The rest of my day will be protein-focused and rest-oriented. What a phrase, eh?

I like that phrase - I guess my daily phrase is water-focused and sugar free! Great job on 9 days binge-free! I am proud to announce a small victory - I have been without sugar for 4 whole days now, and I have to say, its great. The first couple of days I could not believe the headache, and I am starting to fantasize about my favorite sugary foods now. Today I even pulled an old container of low fat ice cream out of the fridge, but reigned in the urge and threw it in the trash.

Physically, I felt better almost immediately. I now know first hand how much bloat you get if you're eating lots of simple carbs. I instantly got a little more definition. That's been super motivating!
Sunday morning I'll see if it manifests in weight loss. If anyone is thinking about it, go for it!!

Hi all!!!

I just completed a week of Gym Style workouts. I finished up with Low Max this morning. I'll rest tomorrow to get ready for next week.

I finally finished the book and I decided to download FitDay. It does have so much more than going to the website. I spent the day figuring things out and putting in some of my favorite foods.

I didn't do too well on getting in my 5 meals today. That's something I have to really work on.

Congratulations to all of you that had some small successes this week.

Have a great weekend!!!!!

Hey 'Burn the Fat People',

FFD - Way to go with the sugar. It must have been hard for you to throw out that container of ice cream, but you did it. Now just don't give into those fantasies (well just the sugar ones at least LOL). You should plan for treating yourself to something special for being sugar-free for so many days.

Jamarba - What does the home version of Fitday have versus the online version? I use Fitday online every day. One thing I don't like about online is that the calorie and nutrition content of many of the foods listed there are way off when I compare it the to the food labels. I've pretty much created all my foods as custom foods and use them.

Friday night I had planned a cheat meal, if you want to call it that. I had grilled turkey tenderloin, a baked yam, two ears of corn - pretty boring stuff, huh? For the whole day it only came to 1700 calories. I need to get better at cheating. Today DH and I are going to BIL's house to watch the Eagles game so maybe I can cheat there. DH and I are bringing a bushel of crabs (not many calories there) but I'm sure SIL will have something else out.

Yesterday I did Hardcore Extreme Circuit for the first time. When I read the description of the workout I thought it didn't look too intense, but boy was I wrong. It really moves along quickly and I sweat buckets. The IMAX intervals are all immediately followed by leg presses, squats, or some other form of cardio so my heartrate was able to remain up thru most of the upper body sections. You just gotta be quick with changing your gear because she moves from one thing to the next really fast. In my opinion this is a really good endurance workout. It's already got me thinking about how to incorporate it into some kind of super evil mish mosh. More on that later....

Well a new week is upon us, let's burn it well!

TK - The home version of FitDay allows you to input your own recipes. I also like that it will separate the meals - breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. It tracks your measurements and it's just a lot faster. I'm still playing around with it to see what else it can do.

Your cheat meal sounds delicious. My cheat meal two days in a row was lowfat frozen yogurt and 2 South Beach Diet cookies. I still only got in 1775 calories today.

Rest day today. S&H is on the rotation for tomorrow. I'm ready for the new week.

J - Thanks for your very timely info on Fitday. I just now got back here from cancelling my etools subscription at the Weight Watchers site. I liked their recipe builder but it only calculates WW points. I baked a loaf of whole wheat bread today and was already stressing about how I was going to record it in Fitday. If the Fitday home version has a recipe builder in it then that's got me sold on that alone!
