Well the menus still haven't been planned so no shopping will take place today. I think we have enough to have a good dinner tonight.

The out door running sessions will have to be tabled for a bit. We are down to 10 degrees (F) and with winds of 25 to 35 mph and gusts to 45 mph!

still haven't done any kind of workout today. i have been busy working and scoring tests. i don't know that i will be doing eoin tonight because i want to do the whoel thing, but i might try my other one (yoga for stress). it has shorter segments to pick from. we'll see...

wendi-STAY OFF THAT FOOT!!! you need to make sure you have properly healed.

lori-definitely not a shabby workout at all!!!

sunny-half the time the workout i plan is not the one i end up doing. i really think we need to listen to our bodies and what they "feel like" doing.

cathy-glad you found the time to workout. can you do a workout for me, too?

judy-ITA about s&h series!!! i did the WHOLE thing one time through (sooooo boring) and now, i have no desire to do even parts of it. i know i need to but i am having fun with gym styles. eoin has two other dvd's. i got volume 1 and what i've done of it, i like. instead of doing, he teaches the class. he explains a lot. some people that reviewed it said that bothered them. it doesn't bother me one bit. especially because i like what he is saying.

wendy-i would think you can keep your starter earrings in as long as you want! i am so proud of you for taking the plunge!!!

carole-wtg on the run today. 6.5 miles is awesome!!! i haven't made it to doing yoga yet. i might just do it tomorrow or do my other dvd that you can do in shorter segments.

jackie-nope, my hip is still fine...yay! i am still going to be conservative with the runnning. surprisingly, my legs aren't sore but sometimes it takes an extra day to really feel it.

shelly-glad you only have to work one night tonight and then you're off again. i don't know how you do it!!!

christine-how is the tummy feeling?

dallas-the legs are feeling good. i am surprised but i am thinking it might hit tomorrow. hopefully not. i am super lazy today as well. i do agree that there are many times that if i don't workout, i don't feel energized. not that i have any energy now anyway. two late nights in a row is a biggie for me!

linda-i am enjoying my day "off" so far!

okay, okay...i am starting to get the yoga bug. i'm going to go downstairs and do some now!

Christine - Sorry the tummy is rebelling a little too much today. I can just imagine that you're ready to get back to your normal routine. Hope nothing's wrong with Jimmy. Oh, yeah, thank God for leather seats. :) Glad you enjoyed your bike ride.

Linda - Yeah, you know how we fitness fanatics are. We want to get back to doing things ASAP. I'm covering my eyes and ears with all this KB talk. I think if I stay out of the fitness section when I go the stores, I'll be ok. Glad you enjoyed your workout.

Cathy - Glad you're making some progress. Nice use of the Bosu today.

okay...bliss city!!! i did the yoga for stress relief relaxationa and insomnia sections. i feel like i'm on drugs or something. my eyelids are heavy and i feel totally relaxed.

definitely a different type than eoin which i find a bit more fun and challenging, but this dvd does what it says...relieves stress, clears your mind, relaxes...i recommend it!

Well, better late than never, I guess :). Just got back from the tourney. SO did okay...ended up finishing around 20th (didn't cash) out of 102. He was quite disappointed since he was up around 8th after the first 5 games. Oh well, still a good showing. A bunch of the guys asked how I was hitting them and I had to laugh and say that I was sitting this one out. I mean, really, it took around a 245 average just to cash :eek:! Okay, I've bored you with enough bowling...

Lori - Oh, I love when I sleep like that...which is actually quite often I have to admit! Nice run!

Sunny - YEOWZAS!!! That is one mean workout!

Cathy - Thanks for the PH Bosu abs idea...I will definitely be adding that to the rotation. Glad to hear that your' making some good progress with your boards. Interesting about those food allergies...oats? I would never have thought anyone could be allergic to oats.

Linda - Sorry to hear about your skin irritation. I hope you find something soon. Nice workout!

Judy - Good job getting outside for that run...you certainly won't be doing that again in the near future. Actually, that front with those winds made for a *very* memorable day at work today. When you all are bored silly I'll tell you of all the, ahem, *fun* we had today :eek:! So far so good with the meds today...

Wendy - Congrats on the piercings! BTW, DH didn't head up to my neck o' the woods for that tourney today by any chance, did he? LOL about him knowing where to find a good deal ;). I wish I had gotten the same warnings on those meds...I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy :eek:.

Carole - Yup, you're right, better than nothing :). Nice run today...although I'm sorry to hear that your hip is still voicing it's own opinion on the matter. I hope you find a solution soon.

Jackie - Oh, sorry you had a rather stinky morning. I hope you had a nice visit with mom. I spoke to mine the other day on the phone and she said she wanted to come down. I had to tell her that I'm booked through the end of March but if I have a cancellation I'll let her know...J/K, well sort of x(.

Shelly - Holy circuits Batman!!! You're my hero! It's still muddy out there? Sorry to hear that. Thanks for the support hon! Actually, I've been on quite the streak lately bowling-wise. In the past three weeks I've shot a 289, 2 279s (both on the same night) and a 278. Maybe I need to bowl injured or OD'd more often :p. I upped the weights considerably from the last time and did a few extra reps. I'll keep playing with it.

Christine - Sorry to hear that both you and Jimmy are suffering from sensitive stomachs. ITA about the social food thing. I so look forward to getting back to *my* food after a couple of days of eating out. Yeah, it tastes good at the time but does not sit well with me in the long run. I know you'll be back on track in no time! Oh, don't be too impressed. My normal workdays are just one, long UB workout between the mucking, the hay throwing, the riding and the wrangling of the beasties when they decide that they would rather be orangatans (sp?) hanging from the rafters. I have no choice BUT to have some UB strength...it's called self-preservation LOL! Nice bike ride today...sounded like fun!

Dallas - That is a LOT of soccer (and sitting ;) ouch!). Congrats to DD...it sounds like she is quite the star! I hope those tired calves feel better soon!

Lorie - Sounds like you had a wonderful yoga session! Don't worry love, I'm taking it easy...as easy as is possible when my whole day is spent on my feet, that is. If it hurts, I don't do it...end of story. The only thing that really causes any kind of pain is if I roll up onto my toes (like a calf raise) or if I turn it just a certain way. As long as the foot lands flat it feels great. The one postive thing to come of this is that I have to be *VERY* careful with foot placement on any kind of lunge and that's really making me focus on form and I'm feeling them in all the right places for a change :)...not just my quads.

So my novel is complete and it's past my bedtime. Nightie night Cheetahs!
 
Evening!

I ended up doing Magically Hips and GS-Back only. I have to be at the neighbors tomorrow for Bible study. (Actually turns into a gabfest about life/family/parenting issues. We've been on the same two chapters for a month. ha ha I love that group!) Anyway, thought I get a little upper body out of the way for tomorrow. Calves are feeling much better after that yoga session. Hopefully, I can get back to cardio tomorrow.

Wendi ~ The whole team works really well together. The had tied the game, but the ref took their goal back during the Championship game. :( Way to go on your high scoring bowling!!! :)

Lorie ~ Is that a new Eionn that made you feel sleepy? I better get that one too for my insomniac periods. :( Glad you liked it! Sweet dreams! Yep, two nights would be a biggie for me too. Heck, I was exhausted y-day after being at the tournament all day. You would have thought I played all those games. LOL! My kids went to bed extra early tonight. :)

Jackie ~ Well, at least the games were only 25 minutes each! No way could those kids have played 50 minutes for each game. No, it's the calves that were aching y-day and this morning. How is the house coming along?

Christine ~ Nice bike ride! Yeah, I'm thinking a relocation is in order right about now. :+ I never made it to the grocery store, so I have that on the list for tomorrow. :( Thanks about the kids! I tell them to just have fun out there. What's your dd making with her friends?

Linda ~ Yeah, that's not a nice incision. :( Thanks for the workout advise. I may add kbox to the rest of my upper body tomorrow. I like Kelly too. I like her step kickbox the best. Do you have it?

Carole ~ How's the leg/hip? Hope the freestyle will help it out. Yep, that was me w/my many freestyle questions. ;-)

Sunny ~ Beware of the stairs! LOL! I tell you as much as I work out, I'm always surprised the DOMS in the calves. Well, it sounds like you made up for no drills!! }(

Cathy ~ Glad you have the momentum with your work! Keep it going girl! Thanks for the heads up w/PH abs. I'll try that soon.

Hello Friends...

Sorry to have been MIA this week. It's been a doozy... I've had illness, teenager troubles, and busy work so I've been very absent on here. I even had a TERRIBLE week with my BFL program as a result but I must learn to keep in focus with my goals whilst dealing with the issues life deals out to me....right? I wasn't too bad but I know there will be no weight loss this week - I mostly missed workouts and hung out in the vineyards when I should not have been...lol. Anyhoo, DH says "well,don't beat yourself up over it"...so me thinks I'll take his advice and just start week 5 over this week. I've not been able to read the last week's worth of stuff but I'll try to catch up tomorrow and then post some personals to my awesome cheetah pals...

I've missed y'all this week but you've been in my thoughts... me thinks it was what kept me from TOTALLY blowing the week up into total catastrophe ....lol
