Best 'recovering from a bad cold' workouts

Hi all,

I have been side lined from exercising this week with a REALLY bad cold that has left me recovering from sinusitis and a phelgmy (sorry to be so gross) throat. I'm feeling well enough to start working out again and am also still pretty tired and a little run down from having spent this week fighting my cold. What are your favorite 'getting back in the swing of things' workouts (Cathe or other instructors)? Do you do any modifications (to either cardio or strength workouts) when recovering from colds and flus? Any advice would be most welcome.

Thanks everyone!

I like to do anything from the CTX series if I'm easing myself back into working out. Because of their shorter duration, I find they aren't as intense as some of her other workouts. Also, any of Cathe's older step tapes might be good for a "ligher" day.

Hope you feel better soon!!

I get frequent sinus infections (which usually affect my chest as well) so keep a few "gentler" workouts on hand. For weight work I use Shaping up With Weights for Dummies...there is not a lot of moving around, and she (Tracy York) stretches the body part worked after each exercise so that gives me time to breathe (not easy with sinus infection, LOL). For floor/abs I use the Firm Lower Body Sculpt II. It's all floor or seated work. For cardio I generally use my usual tapes (although am new to Cathe, so that's not included) but take out my arms and make my movements smaller.
