Best Hip Workout

Hello!! Which Cathe video (or any video for that matter) would you say has helped you the most with your hips?

Thanks!!

Kim

Hi, Kim,

IMHO kickboxing moves target the hips most effectively. Core work also hits the hip flexors to some extent. Cardio kicks and CTX kickbox are good Cathe kickboxing routines, plus there are many others like Tae Bo, Janis Saffel, Powerstrike, etc, etc. Pilates are a non cardio way to target hips. Have fun!

And to think.......all of these tapes have been sitting right under my nose the whole time!! I guess I need to dust them off and get them out for my cardio!! I was thinking of strength workouts as far as the hips go, but maybe all I need to do is get the kickboxing ones out!!

Thanks a million!!

I like the floorwork in PLB a lot. I don't even use the stability ball and still find it very effective. I go, "Whoa!" when we do inner thighs and it's the legs up in the air and you draw them in froggy style (Brenda's modification) and I could just feel my legs go tight from all the work we've been doing.

PS Legs works all the muscles that surround the hip joint pretty thoroughly also. If you have it, add it in once a week. It is very effective.

I agree with the core work and kickboxing ideas above also, but CTX Kickbox is much less challenging than Cardio Kicks.

You girls really have my mind going as to a rotation now.......lol. I think I might do a rotation that includes two days of step, and three days of kickboxing (I do have Cathe's Cardio Kicks and CTX Kickbox, along with Taebos and Aaron Lankford) for my cardio, and then I will do a PS rotation for my strength, then on another day I will do either MIS or PH, and maybe throw in another floorwork tape. Do you think that sounds like a good way to hit my hips?!?!?! Not that the rest of my body doesn't need a major overhaul....................lmao!!!

Thanks guys!!!! I love all your suggestions!!!!!
