Hello educated crowd!

Well, my new year's resolution is to convert from bent knee to straight leg push-ups while doing my Cathe tapes. I've started by simply doing ten straight legs per day after doing my regular workouts. After 3 weeks, i'm still shakin' and pushin' to squeeze out the last two. Eek, is there a better way?

Does anyone have any pointers to give me? Maybe some insight on making the transition? I can do this!!!!

Thanks so much, everyone. I look forward to hearing some of your responses.

Keep up the hard work. I know I will. It's Imax 2 time. : )

Jen, 10 is pretty good! I'm the wimpiest weakling there is regarding push-ups (mainly because of past problems with carpal tunnel and having to modify my hand position whenever I do them---which I don't do often). You must have figured out some technique that works for you to get up to 10, even if the last two are a struggle. One suggestion would be to do as many good pushups as you can on your toes, then push out a few more by going down to your knees on the "up" portion, then doing the "down" portion on your toes (excentric strength--the "down" phase---lasts longer than concentric strength---the "up" phase).

Hi! I suggest two ways:
:)1) you can do as many push up as you can on your toes and when you feel you can't push any more continue on your knees.
:)2) you can start by doing even one push up on you knees and as you gain strength and form, eventually add up.

Great work!
