Hi guys,
I've recently started working out again after an 8 year break (yikes!), and I could use some advice on what workout video to get next. So far, I've been doing around 30-40 minutes three times a week with Step Basic and a shortened mix of Kick, Punch & Crunch (warm up+medium intensity+combo 1+combo 2. Or, when I really want to push myself, also combo 3). (I use the workout blender.)
I've been switching between these two for about a month now, and I'd like a little more variation.
So far, I've tried a shortened mix of Low Max but the step part was too difficult for me to follow (basic step is my first time using a step board!) and I kept losing my place with all the pivoting. Plus the intensity bursts were a bit too tough for me to get through, I must admit.
Failing with Low Max, I then tried Athletic Step, because from the preview video it seemed like it had easier choreography. This turned out to be true, but it was even more intense than the other one! (I had to stop after 20 minutes because I was getting way too light-headed.) Maybe when I'm in better shape I can give it another go.
In the meantime, I could really use some advice on what video to get next! Is there any workout video where you can make a bit lower-intensity mix, like I've done with Kick, Punch & Crunch? Maybe one of the kickboxing ones, like MMA Kickbox? Or is that too tough?
In the stepping department, there's so much to choose from! Is there any one that's a bit easier? I have an added constraint here, which is that there's not much space where I'm working out. I have enough room to make an L-step, but not much more. I mention this because several of the previews I checked out seemed to have a lot of moving about far away from the board, and I haven't got the space to do that, unfortunately. :-( Oh, and if it matters, I've got one of those bigger size step boards.
Thanks a bunch!
Sara
