beginner question

I haven't workout in a few months but i was using Cathe dvd's for about a year. Anyway, I am starting back working out and I have all the hardcore series dvd's and I was wondering if it would be better for me to do a total body twice a week or do the gym style and work each body part on a separate day once a week. What would give me the best and quickest results?

When I start back I start with total body w/os, so that I give every muscle a warning blast of what is tocome over the next few weeks. This warms them up a bit. Cathe works each muscle group less throughly on a total body endurance tape that lasts 60 mins that she does on say GS Chest and triceps that lasts 60 mins. So, a good progression is to go from the total body w/o, and then after you regain a degree of strength and conditioning and the DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) is long gone, then you can transfer to the Gym Styles where the work is more concentrated on each muscle group.
