Beginner, but I don't like to step-moves... Help!

Hi, I am a beginner/intermediate exerciser, but I really don't like to step up/ step down/ and all the moves (v-step, l-step, etc.), and I am challenged with step-coordination.

I like using a step for support/balance, with weight lifting or sitting.

I really want to start Cathe dvds, but the beginner Cathe dvds rely heavily on step-moves, right? Are there other videos that I can start with?

I am 46 years old.

Thank you!

Try-- 1. Kick, Punch and Crunch 2. Drill Max 3. The kicbox and boot camp workouts in 4 Day Split

Are you more interested in the bootcamp style workouts or the weight lifting? What about using other kinds of cardio and use Cathe workouts for strength training? Pyramids is a good place to start, using a light weight in the beginning you can start most weight training programs even if you have to do less reps or modify on push ups. I also do a lot of road work and I use kick box dvds on rain days. Can you do impact? Or do you need low impact?

There's also Kick Max, though I prefer Kick, Punch and Crunch myself. The 3 MMA workouts from Shock Cardio don't use a step. One of the Hiit workouts doesn't use a step. Cardio Core Circuit is a fun workout that only uses a mat. How's your cardio capacity? The Hiit workouts and CCC wouldn't be for someone who needs to build that up.

I don't care for step, either, but Cathe has a ton of other great workouts! I love the ones the others have mentioned, especially Kick Punch and Crunch. If you like circuit style workouts, the original Bootcamp is fantastic - combines cardio and weight training and kicks my butt every time! My first Cathe DVD's were the Gym Style Series and they are still some of my favorite weight training videos ever.

Whatever you choose, you won't be sorry!

Thanks for the recommendations !!! wow..

Wow... i didn't expect to get any responses, and i have four!!! wow!! thank you so much. I will look up these videos on this site. I am 'intermediate' in knowledge and form, but 'beginner' mentally, because I keep starting/stopping my enthusiasm for exercise. I just want someone to tell me 'what to do' and preferably watch a dvd.
