Before Hardcore Pictures!

Beverly - you look great!!

Like some one said...there are your "before" pictures.:D

What a nice looking family also. This might help me kick it up a little - Thanks!!

Beverly ~
The before Hardcore pics are beautiful. I love the hamstring on the ABS/CORE shot. I am very impressed with your workout regimen...especially the 30 - 40 miles you run every week. You've given me something to aspire to! I'd love to start my own picture trail, too. Any pointers? Thank you for any direction you can provide with regard to picture trails and for sharing your very inspirational photos! How about a BIO?
~Kim

Bev,
I apologize for the way I carelessly worded my P.S. I just meant that your pics are not what one normally assoicates with the "before" pics in magazine ads and on TV, NOT that I don't understand and thoroughly agree with your procedures for keeping yourself on track. I think it makes sense for all of us to take pics of ourselves before and after Hardcore Extreme, and to post them, and if my comment seemed to imply otherwise, it was unintended! :)

Hi Nancy,

No apology needed. I was kind of short back, I guess I am having one of those Mondays.

I also hope no one ever tries to look like someone else. I think all of us educated people here at Cathe know that genetics is very key to what we look like as well as tons of hard work..

No hard feelings..

Beverly

WOW, Beverly, you look so awesome! Your mid-section particularly looks fantastic - and you have children, so I am very jealous, lol. Do you just do the ab work on the end of a workout, or are you doing a separate workout altogether? My mid-section is my most frustrating part.

Marie

PS: I was happy to see the pike photo, because I am new to Cathe and wasn't sure any "normal" people out here could actually do some of those things. So far I have done a lot of sliding across the living room.... ;-)

Good God Bev, you call these BEFORE pictures??:7  You look absolutely stunning right now!!! OK that is it you are inspiring me to kick it into high gear:)! I agree with a previous poster, you should definitely be in one of Cathe's next videos:D :D

Awesome work!!

Beverly, you look wonderful! What an inspiration! Thanks, I needed a little extra motivation. Nice tan too. I unfortunately am about as pale as you can get so any muscle definition doesn't show very well.

Hi Beverly,

You look amazing. Very encouraging.
I was wondering if you would explain how to do the "speed ladder run"?

Thanks,
Sabine

Sabine,

Hi! This is what my speed ladder run looks like.

5.7 mph for 5 minutes (warm up)
6.0 for 2 min
6.5 for 2 min
7.0 for 2 min
6.0 for 1 min
6.5 for 2 min
7.0 for 2 min
7.5 for 2 min
6.0 for 1 min
7.0 for 2 min
7.5 for 2 min
8.0 for 2 min
6.0 for 5 min
You can end here or go for the ladder down which I usually do
7.0 for 2 min
7.5 for 2 min
8.0 for 2 min
6.0 for 1 min
6.5 for 2 min
7.0 for 2 min
7.5 for 2 min
6.0 for 3 min
6.5 for 2 min
7.0 for 2 min
6.0 for 5 min
5.7 for 5 min

You may have to adjust your speed according to your fitness level and running experience.

You can e-mail me if you have more questions.

I am going to try that speed ladder run tonight. I have cut down on my running so much this winterx( but I am picking it back up.

Bev,
I saw your July pictures a while back and thought you are amazing!

How did you lean out your lower body?

My upper body and core have nice definition. My lower body is really strong and my quads look fine.
My hamstrings and calves are a different story. They are hard but don't look fit like yours? I do the hamstring work in Cathe's vids and have improved but that top area close to my butt is terrible. I wouldn't be caught dead in a bikinii. My calves are very wide and have little definition. They just look stocky.

I follow Cathe's rotations. So what else can I do?

What impressive pics!! I'm debating on doing pre hardcore photos. I've never done any pics before and I wish I had cause I've come a long way.

Catherine

Wow Beverly! Everyone has said it all. You look simply amazing. I didn't think your body could improve from your last set of pix, but by golly, it did. Isn't it a good feeling to see the results of your hard work? I think your hair is sooo adorable with curl. Can I bug you to find out how you curl it? Curling iron/perm/hot rollers??? I am growing mine now and I feel like it just hangs after my classes. It is very thick so it doesn't hold curl very long. Not sure I want to start the perm-thing again though. Anyway, don't want to turn this into a beauty shop, just thought your hair looked sooo cute on you. YOU GO GIRL and keep up the great job!

Catherine,

Go for the photos. I think they actually help you keep thriving to improve. It has for me anyway. You can see little things that you want to change and do it... I wish I would have started photos earlier.

Hope to see your picture soon. I am sure you look great!
