bed time question

This question is more for morning exercisers. I know you're not supposed to cheat your body of sleep just so you can get up early and exercise. So............what time do you go to bed? I was just curious.

I go to bed at 9pm and I get up at 5:30am to workout so I can be at work by 9am. I am an early morning person anyway so its easy for me-HTH.

Always by 10:00am, if I'm not in bed I'll just pass out on the couch whether I want to or not. I rarely have to get up earlier that 6 am to work out, but it has happened. I need 8 hours of sleep to be functional.

I'm in bed by 9/9:30 and up at 4:30AM to pack lunches, do laundry and do a bit of lounging while I sip my tea. I workout by 5:30AM.

In bed between 9:30 and 10:00 and up at about 4:15. Get in my workout for 60-90 minutes and shower before doing that lunch-packing, kid-waking, off to school thing. Usually by then my 3-y.o. is awake and he keeps me going all day. So I am totally ready for sleep at 9:30. I just started doing the 4:15 thing again recently, and I was surprised that it's not as hard as I thought.

I'll be walking the Komen 3-day (60 miles) the week after Cathe's RT. To view my webpage go to: https://www.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=202302&supid=166016627

COOL!! I sleep between 9 and 10 pm and wake up at 6 am to workout for 1h30 min. For mr to be able to workout I need to sleep that early and I am so happy to discover that I am not alone. My family and friends make fun of me that I sleep early, but they don't wake up at 6 am and work out! I will show them this forum.

In bed by 9:00-10:00 up at 4:30 to let dogs out, feed dogs, workout, make lunches and get to work by 8:00.

Usually between 9 and 9:30 pm. I get up between 4:30 and 5 am, to do laundry, pick up and pack lunches and workout by 5:30.

I need 7 to 8 hours of sleep, otherwise I am crabby all day }(

I get up at around 4:45 and work out for about 90 minutes, so I try to get to bed by 8:30 or 9:00. That doesn't always work out. Like last night, I was really tired but couldn't fall asleep until after 11. I still got up to work out. I woke up before my alarm went off, so I figured I was ready to wake up. I always feel great when I work out in the mornings, no matter how much sleep I've had. It's the afternoons that can kill me when I haven't had enough sleep. I am exhausted mid-day at work! Ugh! It really starts to catch up by the end of the week.

I have tried working out in the afternoons, but I am so much better off doing it in the morning. I also like to get it done in the morning so that if I am feeling good that afternoon, I can do another workout. I do that quite a bit and enjoy it.

I go to bed between 9:00 to 10:30PM and wake up about 4:40AM. if it is gym day i will be out of my house by 5:10am. I live about 2 minutes from the gym, but i have to be there by 5:15 to make sure i have a bike for the spinning class at 5:30.

My goal is to start exercising early in the mornings, but that also includes the goal of going to bed at a decent hour. Right now, I'm aiming for 10pm. After DD is in bed, it is very easy to stay up late and enjoy my down time.

Last night, I was in bed a little after 10pm. I'm going to keep that up and train my myself to go to bed between 9:30-10pm.

Thanks for everyone's input. I appreciate it.

I love exercising to Cathe DVD's in the early AM, before the sun really comes up!

I try to be in bed at 10:00PM and then hopefully be sleeping by 10:30ish!

I am up at 5AM to workout for about one hour to one hour and a half.

I love it!

:)

It seems that most early AM people are on this schedule!
Best of luck to all!
