Good morning ladies-

I'm going to do Imax2 or maybe I'll see if I can complete MIC today-
just had my oatmeal and I'm feeling like I have much more energy.

My "to do" list is unbelievable today- hope everyone is having a good one so far- I'll check in later.

Pretty quite around here today.I find weekends to be like that.I won't be around much this weekend either.
Just home on my lunch break.I can't beleive how well I am doing with the no sweets bit.Not to mention that I was 1.5 lbs lighter today:) It probably had alot to do with the fact that I worked out last night and I may not have drank enough water.Even in a couple of days I can notice my mid section not looking as bloated.Is sugar really that bad?????;( But I love it ssssssssoooooooooooo much:9
I am not sure what the workout will be today.I am not certain that there will be one.DH gets home today so he may want to do something or just sit around and do nothing.
Anyway,I will check back later.

Hello everyone,
This is a nice long weekend for me so today's check in will be my last til Tuesday. Lori, glad your doing well with the sugar thing. I haven't actually eaten a dessert, but I've been munch heaven for the last three days - eating doritos jalapeno 3-d's (at least they are baked) and smokehouse almonds and peanut butter on rye. I find that I have started to mentally justify eating chocolate on valentine's day - not a good thing. OH BTW, DON't get dehydrated. It takes a LONG time (like 2-3 days) for your body to become properly hydrated again. BUT it more probably is that you don't have a lot of excess water in your tissues because of cutting back on the sweets - I don't know why this is, but I know it is true. Yes they are that bad and WA WA WA (me crying) Yes I LOVE THEM TOO.

Brenda do IMAX2 it is more fun :D plus it is about 15 minutes shorter than MIC. Lately I find that oatmeal does not agree with my stomach. I mean I ate it for breakfast EVERY DAY for about 2 years. So what's up with that? (oH the kind you actually have to cook - not the stuff in the packet)

this morning I felt like I had been run over by a truck. So I decided to try an easier hi/lo and I tried Crunch master class aerobics. Well MY GOODNESS you should see the background exercisers. I know this is an older vid but lawzy they look like they are exercising in their swimsuits. One has on a two layer tank thing and I SWEAR NO BRA! Besides that, I was at it for about 15 minutes and could have sung the star spangled banner while doing it so I knew I wasn't getting any aerobic benefit. The only reason I had any sweat goin is because it is WARM here and my house was 79 degrees! SO I hit the stop button and que'd up KPC, just the cardio premix (which is basically the first half of the workout followed by the stretch - total time 37" Now that got me breathing hard, so this morning wasn't a total loss.

I relooked at the feb rotation. There is no way I can do those weight circuit days were you actually complete all of IMAX interspersed with 3 sets of weights. HMMMM I need a plan!!

Work is slow today so I'm checking in often to see what's going on...

p s Can anyone use a pair of size 9 ryka cross trainers? barely worn? too small for me. Can anyone use Step Blast or Legs & Glutes on VHS?
 
Good Morning everyone,

As you might well imagine, today is a rest day for me.

The overnight was not kind as far as my appearance goes. Women were never intended to have the super square jawed look, IMO, let alone only having it on one side of their face! Also, a faint green hue is starting to emerge that makes me look ill. I'm trying not to let it get to me and to keep in mind that all this will go away. I'm also a bit discouraged and usually when I feel this way I would pop in a video that really challenges me. Maybe today's challenge will be walking to the Starbucks and buying a mocha frappacino!

I purposefully did all Cathe workouts earlier in the week with the idea that after today, to finish out my week, I would do some easier workouts over the weekend. I was thinking about Firm Cardio Sculpt and either Petra Kolber's Step Rhythm and Moves or Kathy Smith Timesaver to Loss Weight. I'm hoping I can return to Cathe next week, at least for weight work, as I'm back to a lifting for strength week on my rotation (which I'm loving, can I tell you:7 ).

I'll be around this weekend and will probably be checking in from time to time if anyone is around.

BTW, I don't know who it was who doesn't have Slow and Heavy series, but I just ordered this on DVD and am not having success selling or trading the VHS version at Yaya's or VF. PM or email me if you'd like it and I'll send it your way.

Well I just caught up on yesterday's reading so I have some comments to make (of course).

Shywolf, did you do mega step blast. I really don't like that one because of the bun blasters. Those things really hurt my quads and I don't even like anything that resembles them in other vids - like box lunges.

Brenda, your MIC experience (or lack thereof) yesterday...I'm a big believer in water and if you aren't hydrated, you can't possibly endure a workout like MIC especially in the am. Also, if you have been cutting calories too you were probably too tired to do that one. I'm also certain you will look great in your strapless dress. Oh and the best quick fix I know for every body flaw is good posture!

Whoa Lori, an 80 minute run at the end of a long day and then vacuum? You sure have the energy.

Lori, I wish the sugar thing was getting easier but its worse than it was a few hours ago when i posted. There is all kinds of candy around here and one of the groups was having a BAKE sale across the hall. HOmemade cupcakes and cookies ARGHHH! I honestly believe it is my HORRIBLEMONES acting up - which also explains why I felt like I was run over by a truck this am...

:9 I'm sure I could easily get addicted to that. YOu must be feeling better if you are already planning workouts for this weekend and heavy lifting for next week. (Oh and to answer your question about s&h - I too have the dvd. I can't believe no one has traded for it yet? Are we all becoming dvd snobs? LOL

Hello everyone, this morning was busy to the max. Can you believe I forgot tomorrow's Valentine's? Which means I had to rush to the grocery for sweets/goodies for my son's little school party this morning. Then errands, then townhome renovation issues, then the pestilence that shall descend on Sunday. Aaaaarrrrggggh!}(

Anyway, I'm tired, so I'm listening to my body and seeing if I'm up for a cardio workout in a couple hours. If not, I'll do it tomorrow morning. Yesterday was CTX Kickbox and CTX-UP Split. Long session -- another reason why I'm dragging today.

Lorihart, with all the cardio you do, you're entitled to some sugar, baby!:) (Okay, don't mind me. I'm being an enabler here.) Really, you constantly amaze me with your energy. You're still in your 20's right? Well, when I was in my 20's I still couldn't do as much cardio as you do now, and I did a LOT. You are a wonderful source of inspiration to me. And thank you for that.:)

Joy, I'm having fun reading your posts. I also feel pretty rundown today. Yep, could be hormones. I've been having carb/sugar cravings these last two days myself, and last night, while taking my pills, I realized I'm on the last week of my cycle. And Valentine's is tomorrow. We have parties to go tomorrow. There will be lots of sugar and refined flour...

Sabine, here are more get well vibes your way. (Sorry, there are no such icons to illustrate them.) That mocha frappuccino sounds great. I could use some right now.:) You know, I keep forgetting to tell you that my son loves your jumping, color-changing smiley.

Brenda, between Imax 2 and MIC, I'd do the former in a heartbeat just because it's a lot of fun.;)

I was right.I didn't get to work out yesterday:( Whats wrong with me? I felt so guilty for taking a day off.I guess b/c I know I have to take Sunday off to...or maybe not.I think there may be a gym in the hotel that we are staying at:) Im sure I could sqeeuze a run in.
DH wanted to leave for the city soon.BUT I am working out first.It only takes 3 hrs to get there and we don't have anything to do in there today.I will go to the mall for a little while but I only have to look for 2 things.
I only have about 1 hour to workout.Weird for me.So, I have to make it a good one.I want to run most of it but this early in the morning andI am going to need some breaks,I think BootCamp will be my partner in crime.;-)
Pinky-Thanks for all the nice words.I know I can get away with eating sweets and to tell you the truth,they haven't made me gain weight but I was just wondering what would happen if I cut back some.I have been eating way to many and there is diabetes in my family.When I was pregant they thought I had it.The nurse told me that it could me a sign that I will have it in the future.I don't know if cutting back now will help.
Brenda and Joy- I had some samrties!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is just to many sweets around.But I am ready to start fresh today.Thats not to bad for those few days.I usually am one that needs to go cold turkey but I am not sure with this one! I guess if I am really craving it and ready to pull my hair out,I will have something small.Like a Oreo or something.LIke I said before,if I really saor it,chances are,I will realize how sweet it is and I won't want anymore.
Well,thats it for me.I probably won't be back until Monday.I am taking my workout clothes with me just in case.But now I must go sweat in the comfort of my own home for a hour
