Beach Body strikes again! = (

I ordered the Slim Series a few months back. I paid for it by credit card and chose to pay in installments. I used an option of my credit card that allows me to pay using a "fake" c/c # for my protection. Well, it let the first 2 charges go though but would allow the third charge/payment as I have come to find out TODAY. I never thought about it or heard about this at all until today when I got a notice from a freakin COLLECTION agency for the $17.95 I owe them!!! x(

I AM LIVID! x( x( x(

I understand they want thier $ but why not attempt to contact me directly to get the money themselves first!? NO! They just waited and then just sent a collection agency after me! I pay my bills...in fact, I riduculously careful about everything being ON TIME. I'm not gonna try to outrun a friggen $17.95 charge! I emailed them and told them how awful that is. I was a collection rep for 2 banks AND a messenger service before I had my son...I know about collection agencies...we NEVER used them prior to trying to contact the customer DIRECTLY first! GRRRRR! x(

Sheesh, Wendy, I am SO sorry about this. BB is notorious for terrible customer service. I would definitely use the "live chat" feature over there to complain about this and make sure it does not show up on your credit report. Chances are it's not "really" a collection agency but some department of theirs which they use to scare the crap out of people.

I hope you can straighten it out!!

Good luck.

Yikes, turning someone over to a collection agency is no light matter. I thought by law they *had* to have proof that they tried to contact you before dumping you on a collection agency. So maybe Marie is right, they are just trying to scare you!

Oh no...don't be too quick to assume it's not legit. Our local hospital has lowered to these same practices. We have gotten letter's from collection agencies prior to even being billed by the hospital. Take that and shove it. We carry good insurance so we only need to pay the copay amount which for us is $15.00 for anything. So, on two different occassion's in the last three years we have gotten collection letter's for our $15 copay that had not been paid...because we had not been billed yet! Our regional newspaper has published letter's to the editor of people complaining of this tactic...but the hospital is still doing it as of this date.

I agree with contacting BB via the live chat and getting to the bottom of this. Of course you will have sent the payment out today but you still want to make sure this does not show up on your credit report.

Also, I noticed this weekend that the Slim series was for sale in Target. BB's customer service has to be THE worst.

Hmm, I didn't realize you could get BB products retail. I'll have to keep an eye out for Turbo Jam! Thanks for the heads up.

I saw the Slim Series by the rest of the DVD exercise section. I was surprised too! Actually our Target had gotten in quite a few new exercise titles so they must really be gearing up towards the fitness crowd. The exercise equipment back in the sporting goods section has improved as well.

I can't understand why their customer service is sooo bad!! But unfortunately it is. That really sucks about what happened to you. I'd love to say it would inspire me not to order from them anymore, but their products are just so darn good x( x( .

In regards to the Slim Series at Target...I don't think it's the whole series. I saw it there a while back and it was just a couple of the workouts...not all of them. Unless of course it has changed over the last few months and they have released the whole series to be sold retail.

I would rather kill myself than do Slim Series. :) :) :) Nothing against anyone who enjoys these workouts, but I couldn't even get through the preview! It was far too repetitious for me...

I like Yoga Booty Ballet, though. Not the strength portions, but the cardio is interesting and fun.

Thanks for your replies.

Well, I emailed them about this and ofcourse it just so happens to be my luck that they are having "technical difficulties" so they won't be able to respond to my email as soon as they would like to but that I should be patient and it will be responded to asap. What a load of cr@p! LOL

I'm gonna mail the check out tomorrow but I WILL get an explanation from them regardless! Using the live CSR service is a good idea! Thanks! :)

ETA: I was just thinking about this...do you want to hear the MOST laughable part about this whole thing!? The last charge on my c/c that I have from BB is on a statement dated 2/23 so this means that the statement from the end of March (which I recieved quite recently) would have been the one on which this charge would have been on had it gone through so....did they even wait 30 days after not being paid to put me in to collections??? 30 days is THE MOST they could have possibly waited...WTH!?

I suggest using the "live chat" for BB too. YOu only get your answer through the live chat and nowhere else. If you call, no one will ever pick up your call. One time I was using both my cell phone and home phone to call to see which one picks up first. Then I got tired of waiting, so I got online to try to live chat without hanging up my phones. It turned out the live chat responded to me first.
