Basic Step Sweat Fest!

Hi all - I'm an advanced exerciser but am doing shorter step routines now (30-40 minutes)as my 51 year old legs and knees have requested.
I've done basic step three times and each time I've had to stop to wipe off sweat from my step. I put extra intensity into every move, eg. hops over the step instead of A step, ball change with charleston kicks, jump shots and hopping on every knee up and around the world. I must say it is intense enough for me and really gets my heart rate up. I really like this workout. Anyone else have similar feelings?

Hi,

One of the things I love most about this workout is that I get to use my step at 8 inch height. Most step w/o's - esp. my beloved Cathe's - are too fast and/or complex for me to feel comfortable at 8 inch's. Love it, love it, love it!!!:7
 
Absolutely! It may be a "beginner" workout, but it's classic Cathe step ... all the way! I put intensity into as well, and use a 6 inch step since I'm short and my knees won't tolerate an 8 inch one, and I feel like I get a very nice workout from it.
