:D For any of you who own the 3 most recently released DVD's Basic Step and High Step, do you find you get a great high intensity workout if needed by modifying? I sweat just as much as I do with the advanced videos by adding in high intensity modifications, ex jumps!

I just did Basic Step for the first time, and though I'm not a stepper, I am an advanced exerciser. Using an 8" step I had no problem getting into and staying in my cardio target zone. I decimated my calves though. Forgot to stretch them, and I've been limping for days. :-( If Basic Step were a little longer, without so much warm-up, I would consider it to be a perfectly good cardio workout.

I only use Basic Step as an add on to more intense workouts. If you do it after something harder, it seems much more intense. As far as the High Step Circuit workout, if I use an 8 inch step and up all the weight amounts, it can become pretty intense. I still only use it on my lighter days, though.

I have found that I can get a pretty good sweat going with 8 inches and some jumps etc.. I like Body Fusion and High Step Circuits the best. I have done basic step with my 8 year old granddaughter. You can get a pretty good strength workout as well with these using higher weights and really taking advantage of the tubing.
