barbell pad

Does anyone know if there are any softer barbell pads instead of the hard foam ones? I'm having trouble finding one and the foam one I have is somewhat stiff, uncomfortable.

My first barbell pad was made out of the black squishy tube stuff that would go around water pipes in your house - I found it very cheap at the Home Depot. It was pretty soft, and they sell different types/thicknesses/etc. of it so you can pick one that feel best to you.

Here are two I found online at Walmart.com I don't have either of them but they look like they might be what you are talking about and seem reasonably priced. They say online only so I don't know how great they are. I actually found these the other day when I was looking at fitness stuff online. I hope this helps or gives you some idea of what you may want.

We installed a new hot water heater and these came for free with some of the piping! LOL, Susan and Robin, I've been using it for barbell pad for weeks now and was totally impressed with my own ingenuity
