I have a question for anyone who can answer. where can i buy the 6 foot dyna bands used in Cathe's videos? I have a few of her videos and am planning on getting lots more but I cannot find a band like the one she uses in her videos. Not to be picky but I really want a pink one!!!! If anyone can help I would really appreciate it!!! Thanks!!!
Theresa

You can get them at Fitness Wholesale:

The color corresponds with the level of resistance - pink is lowest resistance one offered. If you want the same challenge as in Cathe's videos, you'll have to get the green one. I, personally, ordered one of each color so I can have a variety of resistance levels (although I mostly use the green one). They're so cheap, you might as well get one of each! :D

I got mine from Collage Video - ordered it with the Cathe DVD I ordered. It was $7.95 for the 6' green one (medium resistance)

Well, I think you might like the purple one if you like pink, Theresa:p and you can get that at Sportmart. It's $14 for three bands, different resistant level... although I am not sure if Sportmart is in other state in the US.

I ordered one from collage but wasn't sure if it was the same one used in the videos. do you like it? I should be getting it sometime this week. if that one is medium resistance then I may get the pink one from the website that was recommended to me because the pink one was light resistance. Thanks!

I noticed the bands go from pink to silver w/ I guess silver being the hardest, correct? I may do that and just get one in each color so that I have a lot of resistance levels to choose from. Thanks again for the info. I just posted to someone that I did order the one from collage for $7.95 which seems expensive compared to the prices on the website you gave me. I should've posted my question before I ordered it but I didn't think of it until after I already ordered it. duh. oh well. so I'll just have an extra one!!

This is a great place to get them. The also offer Therabands, another type of band that is latex free, and doesn't need to be powdered to prolong its life (the info that comes with the Dynabands, like the ones in Cathe's videos, highly recommend that you dust them with baby powder before storing them in a plastic bag to prolong their life). The colors of the two types of bands aren't the same, but the "medium" resistance in both seems to be about the same.

uh oh. powder them?

I threw away the directions, without reading, because I thought it just had "exercise directions" on it. :( How often do you have to powder it? And do you have to store it in a plastic bag? Or is that just if you are not going to be using it for a while?

I think it's supposed to be best after every use (or so).
I don't powder or package mine, but it's supposed to make them last longer. That's why I got some of the ones that don't say you have to powder and package them.
