Banana Holds

Cathe or anyone who can offer some advice~ I have been skipping the Banana holds section of the LIC workout because I cannot do them. I have worked myself up to levitation holds, as well as many other challenging ab routines, but I just can't do banana holds without using one leg to push me up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!:)

Not Cathe, but I find these difficult as well. I lift my legs first, and then my upper body, and I can hold the pose from there. If I try to do both at the same time I can't seem to make it (not yet anyway!). Really suck those lower abs in and press your low back to the floor before you lift your legs- that helps me.

today was my first time doing low impact circuit so it was my first time doing these. they were extremely hard but i managed to get through them. just keep at it. for your low back, hold the legs up a little higher and focus on sucking in your belly and pressing your back into the floor. as your transverse abs get stronger, you will be able to start lowering your legs more.

I don't have a problem holding my legs low- it is actually lifting them without using momentum. Thanks for the advice, and yes I will start back at working at them:)

You could probably start from a seated position and move down into position rather than trying to pull up to it. I think that's the hardest part!
