Back to back cardio & weights ?

I was just wondering about doing cardio & weights back to back on different dvds. If I wanted to do just upper body weights and some cardio, do I have to do both warmups? Say I want to do step then go into XTRAIN burn sets bi's & tri's, do I have to do the burn sets warm up before lifting the weights or is my upper body pretty much warmed up from the cardio? I'm never really sure about this because I do not want to hurt myself.

Hope everyone haves a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving. Don't have to worry about any ice or snow down here in SWFL because it's still 85 degrees!!!!!

Hi Firemedic - I only ever do the one warm up (chosing between the two, depending on which I think is better), then do the cardio and straight into strength. I then do a cool down / stretch - again chosing the one I prefer. The only other thing I might do is a quick stretch in between - say if I'd done step cardio and was then going to do bis and tris, I'd stretch my arms. I wouldn't bother, however, if I'd done something like boxing first.

I'd love to hear others' opinions!

Hi to both of you :)

Only one warm up and one cool down is necessary per any amount/group of workouts as long as they are all performed at the same time vs putting a half hour or more time between each one.
