Back from Orlando!!

Well, just got back today from our trip to Orlando, FL. DH and I left last Wednesday. I was "officially" there for a veterinary dental meeting (which was very good, BTW);) , but we played a bit while we were there, too.

Thursday we went to Epcot Center, which was lots of fun. DH is definitely not a "ride" sort of person, but he actually wanted to go on them with me! The best was Soarin', which is like a hang glider tour of California. The worst, by far, was the Mission Space ride where it actually feels like you are taking off and flying in a rocket!! Left both of us dizzy and nauseated!! It was fun, but too real! We walked around all the country exhibits. Overall, had a fun day.

Friday and Saturday I went to meetings all day and DH played golf.

Sunday I played hooky, because the meetings just weren't all that pertinent to my practice (more advanced stuff than I am currently doing), so we went to Kennedy Space Center! That was truly the highlight of my trip!!:p I loved it. I'm fascinated by space travel, so this was FUN!! (obviously not astronaut material after getting sick on a silly ride at Disney!!! LOL!!)

Got home this afternoon and now I'm doing laundry and getting ready to go back to work tomorrow!:( I sure did miss checking in here while I was gone! Now I'll have to make sure I didn't miss anything!
 
Welcome back Edie! Glad you had a good time :) Oh boy, I don't have enough fingers and toes to count the fun stuff that's been going on around here. Sit back, have some flax seed, and take a perusal ;)

Good for you that you took some time for yourself! I have a conference there in January so hopefully I'll get to do the same (play hooky that is :) )!

Welcome back. I am a kid at heart and love to go to DW and the other fun places in Orlando and the Orlando area. The first couple days back are always the hardest.

We went to Margaritaville at Universal Studios. I, of course, had a margarita, but I skipped the cheeseburger in paradise! What a fun place! Oh, and my DH golfed with one of Jimmy Buffett's partner's in the Margaritaville "empire"!! I can't wait to tell my brother, who is a huge Jimmy fan!!

Isn't the Margaritaville store in Orlando the one with Jimmy's plane? The one with the bullet holes? Lucky DH. Did he get any inside scoops on Jimmy?
 
Welcome back, Edie! Glad you had a good time in Orlando. When we went in July, my boyfriend's daughter got violently ill after the Mission Space ride. In fact, I was the only one that liked that ride.

Kennedy Space Center is great!!! I went last year and it was one of the best experiences I've had.
